As far as I'm concerned Fury Road would have been that much better without augmenting it with cgi. The stunts and action from the original trilogy still hold up, and they "hurt" more.

My thoughts on Mel and his crazy behavior make him a liability for any studio. Not to mention his substance abuse issues.
S while he was in physical shape, his mental shape was definitely in question, and from the set reports, that film was mentally and physically grueling.
Studios just do not want to bet millions on a crazy person......

I also think Mel feels Max is beneath him at this point.
I am sure after FR was done and it was a success, he may have changed his tune.
Good points about Mel’s substance issues.

Mad Max beneath him???

He was in Expendables 3 at this time. :lol

I think he would have been fine with George Miller there.

Besides I am not worried about the studio, his sanity, or substance abuse. I’m being selfish wanting the real Mad Max in my Mad Max film. :)

Well looks a lot less oversaturated and CG than the first trailer thankfully. But I'm still confused about the point of this movie. We watch Furiosa be kidnapped from her home and rebel against her capters and Immortan Joe in a spectacular way... only for her to wind up serving him as a trusted lieutenant before the start of Fury Road? And we already know she doesn't make it back home and that the place has become a desolate wasteland...

You can hate on me if you want, but that trailer looks ridiculous to me..... :rotfl

Could they have tried to find an even scrawnier petite female? She's no young Charlize Theron.

And Hemsworth just seems to be revisiting his cringey Thor performance from that last abomination..

I didn't see Fury Road till a few years after it was out. I was surprised I enjoyed it. But this? This just looks like a current day unbelievable over the top Girl Boss movie. Easy pass for me.

The CG still really stands out to me unfortunately. Snyderverse look.

Just more of the usual crap. My eyes just glaze over at this point. Yaawwwwwn.

But there was one moment that actually made me chuckle, the motorcycle-drawn chariot. It's so silly. Has anything like this been done before in a movie? It's funny!

Thor has replaced his goats with something more efficient and controllable.... :lol

Gee I wonder what happens to her after this movie.

Actually I hope this blows away FR then I can just ignore FR and keep this as my one and only Mad Max 4.

Nothing can replace Mel shame on Miller for not giving the fans what they really wanted.

I’m surprised Miller is not wearing a shirt that says “The Wasteland is Female!”

Speaking of the “Force is Female” holy crap that Acolyte trailer was super SUPER cringe!
