The first film also suffered a lot of delays. All for a mediocre flick with a generic script. Is history repeating itself?

I guess every screenplay can’t be as elevated as “Yousa in big Doo-Doo dis time.”

History certainly does repeat itself though…like how a company can shovel out 10-15 absolute garbage films and shows over the span of 30 years and certain people will just keep buying whatever baby brained crap is spoon fed to them.

It’s like poetry…but written in crayon by a focus group, then xeroxed over and over and over, until all that is left is a sheet of copy paper that just says “Somehow, Palpatine returned…”

I knew this would ruffle some feathers, lol. But what's your point exactly? I agree with you.
I hate most of Disney Star Wars.
And Marvel...
And just about everything DC's pumped out in the recent years.

I still think the Batman is in a league of its own. Certainly from garbage like TROS. But it's not even my 5th favorite Batman film.

It has artistic merit. But the script is still weak, and barely holds what it has on display. It's visually striking, but hollow of substance. For every opportunity it gets to do something bold and refreshing, it retreats to a safer place. It's also creatively inconsistent with what it wants to be. Is it a grounded investigative thriller, or a blockbuster spectacle? Make up your mind Matt Reeves.

Wow, a movie about a Superhero, who’s also a Detective, being a blend of an investigative thriller and a blockbuster spectacle…you are right, what was he thinking?!?

It mostly worked for me, didn’t for you blah blah blah, nothing either of us says will change the other’s opinion…but you came into a thread that’s specifically about a figure made for fans of said movie, while people were discussing disappointing news that just broke about the sequel, to let those people know that you didn’t think it was a good film, and maybe the sequel won’t be either. You said it yourself, “I knew this would ruffle some feathers, lol.”

Your opinion on the film, particularly at that moment, was totally irrelevant. Still is! My point was to shine a light on the hypocrisy of the opinion and behavior of a person who has literally adopted SW as their identity on this forum. I guess I sunk to your level, my bad everybody. While I reflect on my mistake, feel free to keep back-peddling yourself all the way over to the “Hot Toys 1/6 Clone Trooper (45th Repaint Ver.)” thread you crawled outta.

Anyways, can’t wait to see pics of the figure this thread is about! Anyone else excited? Should be any day now..

Why are you so pressed about someone not liking the film and has low hopes for the sequel? Would your opinion have been different had it come from somebody with a Batman related profile pic? At this point, your rebuttal is more of a personal attack rather than an objective disagreement.

How childish.
Touch some grass will you?

I thought my criticism of the film was fair. I like a lot about it, and I'm waiting for this figure like everyone else. I'm just skeptical, and expressing my disappointment and concern with the delay, and taking part in the discussion. That clown got so pinched, he had to attack me personally and resort to name calling..

I wonder if this release is gonna have the single figure drop first before the all in version. Similar to how the Joker release was (if I remember correctly).

Not to get in the middle of this fun discussion, but the first film was delayed because of a global pandemic, which if I recall correctly most films were lol
Just like this one is being delayed because of the writers strike, which quality of the film aside I think is pretty standard across the board
