I think this prototype is really good. In the past when HT messed around with female head sculpts too much it got worse. Like with Jyn Erso, I POed based on the prototype and the end product came out totally different

Weird, I saw a post on Reddit saying she was. I'll be preordering Baylan tomorrow.

Her frame is too big relative to his. She needs to be more slight, and not soooooo thiccccccc!

I don’t think they could have chosen a camera angle & pose to make her look any frumpier than that if they tried lol. I think it may be the cut of the costume (& her flat chest) making her look boxy rather than her actual frame. A snugger fit at the waist would probably fix that.

i preordered this and Baylan, having just seen them in the flesh. Changed my mind as they look really good. The young Ahsoka and Mando trooper on the shelf under them didn’t grab me at all though, so it’ll just be Shin/Baylan from this show. Suppose they weren’t the worst characters.

Yup. Another $20 in tax already puts you over Kit's price, plus another $20 in shipping minimum. Sideshow can kick rocks.

Here's Shin with a bit of a paint over. I made her mascara/eyeliner more prominent and gave her dark circles under her eyes. The sculpt makes her eye area too flat- it needs to be more recessed. I also defined her lips a bit more.

Do you get hit by tax + duty afterwards? Just curious what others’ experience has been.

I ordered mine locally for equivalent to $275 USD but still have to pay sales tax

my experience ordering from kit to Canada has been $0 tax and duties
the price I pay at invoice is the final price which is great because it's also double boxed

She looks really good here.

Shin and Baylon look absolutely amazing. I had no doubt they were going to be made, and Hot Toys hit it out of the park. Now, I hope they finish off the line with Huyang, Ezra, and Morgan Elsbeth. If they make those, I'll be totally satisfied.

Yeah, she definitely looks better there! The lighting in the prototype photos makes her face look washed out and flat.

Her outfit looks even cooler here than it did on screen.
