Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi - 1/6th scale Darth Vader™ Figure

I got mine today! I opened him and set him up without much futzing just to get him where I could see him. After work I am decking him out with the lights and cape.

Still say we coulda had this…

Yeah, this figure looks way too good, I love villains too much and Vader is so much of an icon that I couldn't resist it.
The cracked helmet is such a visually interesting feature that demonstrates the evil and scarred man beneath the outer stoic shell of black metal armor, its a really cool facet that demonstrates more of the character.
I love the swap out options letting you decide between damaged and pristine and I think the figure has been made to a really high standard.

I hate myself and now I'm probably going to cancel something to afford it, but honestly its just too cool looking a figure to ignore.




Oddly enough I have a ANH Vader codpiece that came with some other figure lot I bought aaaaaaaaaaaaages ago - looks like I might finally have a chance to use it!

So jealous seeing everyone getting theirs! My preorder has yet to be charged on SS... I can't be the only one still waiting?

If i remember correctly,Vader on the meditation chamber was teased at in a photo a looooong time ago just after HT got the license..

I imagine mine is weeks or months away still as they only appear to be shipping the deluxe exclusive editions.

I po'd the deluxe ex and I'm still waiting for any kind of payment/shipping notification.

My friend got his notification a few days ago, but decided to cancel as he doesn't collect much SW stuff anymore. So thats an eventual win for someone on the wait list.

I’m still waiting. Deluxe, non-exclusive version.

Lesson learned, order the exclusive; not for the useless extra hologram, but to get it sooner.

I'm glad I don't mind waiting I get excited/antsy when I get a shipping notice and actual tracking info but sort of out of sight out of mind for me before then.

Got mine yesterday and really happy with it. It's got a great shelf presence and seems similar in height to my ANH Vader. With the rock base, it's going to be tight fitting he and Obi-Wan on a single Detolf shelf width-wise...

Can a kind soul confirm if RO chest-box and belt-boxes would be swappable with this variant?

If anyone missed out on an esb/rotj cod piece OT is going to make one

You'd probably have to use the entire belt and not just the boxes but it should fit just fine

With the chest box, you'd have to mod the chest on the figure itself due to the swap out and light up feature. There's also no telling yet if the sizes of the chest boxes are the same. I'll know whenever mine ships as I'm using the RO chest box on my ANH Vader, but it'll be awhile since it's not coming from SS directly but rather a US retailer.

Think the ROTJ Vader will have this body, unless they change the mask design on that helmet ill probably stick the dx28 mask on rotj Vader and use that as OT Vader while keeping the battle damage look as a post revenge of the sith look

Looks a bit undersized on the upper portion that's closest to the belt. Otherwise not bad for a first attempt. Most should probably wait for him to make version 25.0 of the codpiece once the ROTJ version ships and he's obtained and scanned a screen used one to be the most accurate Vader codpiece yet, but will then make tweaks to it to sell another batch to the same ppl b/c that new new will then be the most accurate version and so on a so forth

Oof, mine is a deluxe ex, so I guess I shouldn't complain... Looks like it'll be worth the wait for everyone though!

With this much enthusiasm for this piece, I'm surprised he didn't just resell it to at least get his deposit back!

I saw it in someone's post somewhere, and if I remembered correctly the answer is no, just one side is sculpted and painted.

I guess mine will be here tomorrow. Ordered from Sideshow. Can't wait to share some mediocre phone pics with everyone
