2. possibility of moveable eyes for ac seph.
remember this picļ¼Ÿgt recently said that this is the moveable eyes prototype for ac seph.but final decision depands on boss. if boss final thoughts is non- moveable eyes is still betterļ¼Œthen they will make it to non- moveable eyes

A quick question, will GT Boss be making or should I say ā€œremakingā€ the Cloud Remake/Rebirth and Sephiroth Remake/Rebirth line with the new Body Types (hopefully same as Cloud AC Version) because clearly the figures are all swordsmen, so they both deserve a good butterfly joint around the shoulder area.

I sure hope heā€™s considering on it.

I think Iā€™m more excited by the prospect of more figures than the game itself. The game has so many small issues that it feels like a beta. The floaty and start/stop movement (especially the chocobo), and the combat just doesnā€™t feel polished at all, plus the pop in and general graphical issues.

I feel bad that I dropped like 100 bucks on a game I really dislike, but damn, itā€™s rough.

I will take a whole game based on Queens Blood though. First time since triple triad that I really enjoyed a card mini game (Pazaak too, but that doesnā€™t really count)

I played the demo over the weekend and I was underwhelmed too. The combat is awkward as hell to me, compared to a true real time combat game like Ghost of Tsushima. Like comparing the shooting mechanics of Fallout to an actual FPS.

The character models in game look weird too, like this Cloud screenshot that's been floating around. I almost bought that $100 edition, glad I never did. I'll just wait for a holiday sale or something.

At chapter 8 and yes game looks extremely outdated. Especially it being PS exclusive this is a crime in 2024. Still enjoying it tho. Saw an article earlier today that they are going to release graphics patch for the performance mode soon. Graphics mode is nicer but can't really play it with 30fps, no motion blur can save it. Older games looks way better imo. I don't care what engine they used, for the customer it shouldn't be a problem. Played Remake week ago and it looked way sharp.

I think the battle system is great. As a huge fan of the original (and turn-based RPGs in general) I had a knee-jerk reaction against the combat system in Remake. Didn't even try to wrap my head around it. Made it to Hell House on normal and then dropped the difficulty to easy and brute forced my way through the rest of the game. Went back to it recently and cleared up all of the trophies on PS, including hard mode play through. Playing through on hard mode, you have to embrace and understand the combat system. Made me do a 180 on it entirely and I love it now. It's quite strategic and allows for a a lot of flexibility. Playing through Rebirth now (on normal) and still loving it.

It just feels like a lot of busy work, especially since ATB fills so slow on non-controlled characters. Which is supposed to incentivize the synergy system, but that being tied to block+other buttons (and having to remember what the dozen or so different combinations of synergy moves do) is just super unintuitive. Plus reacting to be able to dodge (not like dodge does much half the time since enemies have insane tracking) or block (which is hard to read due to the 5 characters on screen and the hard to read wind up.

It reminds me how I hated XVIs combat, where you basically just do nothing whilst waiting for your cooldowns. So battles have this rise and fall of boredom.

I haven't experienced that but I'm only now finishing chapter 2 (14 hours in, completing all content before moving on to story stuff). Handy in-game (during battles) guide that shows you how to perform different synergy moves while combat is frozen.

Blocking feels better in this game than Remake. I've found that swapping characters helps to keep the enemy preoccupied and builds the ATB fast. Plus, accessories and materia that can have you starting battles with a decent ATB boost.

I'm loving the game, almost perfect for me and I'm at chapter 5 now. I would say it could look a little sharper (playing in performance mode) but it's a very detailed world overall. Some of the chocobo riding and traversing can be abit clunky at times but it's alot of fun so far and I just love the characters and combat personally ā˜ŗļø

Itā€™s clear they had to make some graphical sacrifices for the open-world and having your full party, plus chocobos, visible all at once. I can live with it though. At least the cutscenes seem use higher quality models. Maybe there will be a PS5 Pro or and/or PS6 version that enhances the graphics further while targeting 60 FPS.

I found the combat in the demo hectic, the water monster especially. The full game gives a slower introduction and isnā€™t quite so daunting. Performance mode really needs a patch, seems like 720p or out of focus by comparison in some shots. The screen can get very busy with all the characters crowding around, Iā€™d like if they could make them hang back a bit further.

For information, CM Warehouse has released GT 1/6 AC Sephiroth for advanced pre-order, so we would see pre-order photos in a few months time I guess.

I started the demo fresh off annihilating Remakeā€™s hard mode (only got defeated 2-3 times in all) and got absolutely wrecked by Terror of the Deep. Seems a poor choice to entice players to play the game. Maybe some leveling and party management would have helped but I wasnā€™t willing to put that level of effort into a demo where no progress carries to the full game. Dropped the difficulty to easy just to finish the demo and net the main game unlock(s).

I absolutely love the game. I do agree it's a shame the performance is pretty blurry but in graphics it looks absolutely stunning and honestly the 30fps doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would. I think the level of detail and overall respect for the og they've put into this game is insane. I'm only on chapter 2 just finished all side content in the grasslands but I'm blown away by it. Battle system is fine when you get used to all the extra stuff they've added from remake. It is chaotic at times but overall very very happy with rebirth so far

Just got my Gametoys AC Cloud! courtesy of Giantoy and their waitlist and awesome service (when I emailed them about it - when it seemed too late - they told me to add my address to my account so that if they ended up with another one they could reserve it for me and send me an invoice, which is what happened.) I just opened him up and he looks perfect and amazing!

Couple of questions for those who have him: are everyone else's figures quite loose in the waist/torso joint? EDIT: actually I guess it's the back of the legs/top joint of those/ass lol. if I lean him forward a bit but then like tilt the figure backwards, he'll just flop back, and same the other way. Hopefully it won't be an issue for posing, probly not considering not gna go crazy with him

the hands just remove like any other figure right? I'm pulling pretty hard n feels like im stretching the arm/don't love how hard I'm squeezing it while trying to remove the hand. But I want him holding the sword asap! hah EDIT: got it, did just havta pull harder. Very bottom part of arm rubber was a lil sticky, I dno if that was contributing or just rly tight. Then of course the equal and opposite problem of getting another one ON, but think it's on right.. What would be the best way to heat them up if need be, has anyone done that? And would that be okay since it touches a bit of the silicone?

Lastly, best process for removing his.. let's call it sash? overdress. Quick look and I can't see the best way to lift it all off. This could be another new Rebirth minigame.

Which I'm loving for what it's worth; the minigames and the whole game. I think graphics mode literally gave me a day-long debilitating migraine on saturday lol, but so far so good in performance mode! Besides the blur haha. I get people's criticisms, but man what it does well it does so well, it's just the epitome of cool hah. And I love the combat. In Remake I hated it at first but it was because I really didn't get it, I was terrible at it and so I couldn't see what it was trying to do. It has to click. Once it did I loved it in that game and I love it here too. I basically never get tired of it. If you told past me that I'd EVER admit to this I'd say you were insane, but.. maybe this is in fact the great evolution of the turn-based/ATB system we need, and I'm perfectly happy with it being this.

Sorry for the novel guys, I guess I'll try again to get Cloud's hand off!

I think the game is an incredible feat by SE. I fell in love with FF7 OG not for the graphics (characters were just polygons back then lol) but for the characters, story, and world. So stepping into Rebirth's world was awe inspiring and the cherry on top. The scale and level of detail in this world that they've expanded is amazing. I can agree with those have gripes with the graphics and performance (because I do care about graphics) but for me I'd rather them nail the characters, world, story, and combat. And based on what I've played so far they've totally delivered on this, and more. They can always fix and patch graphics and performance later on (which from the sounds of it is coming soon) but they can't fix the things I mentioned previously once it has been released.
