I wouldn't take my chances on waiting until release to PO. I think a lot of people are thinking there will be a ROTS version coming out too, but you just never know with Hot Toys. Production runs seem to be getting smaller and with all the factory problems I've been hearing about in China, sourcing materials to make these figures is probably more complicated and contributing to the smaller runs as well.
In any case, this was a Q1/Q2 release and Q2 starts Monday, so I'd imagine it won't be long before Mace comes around.
They better have improved that sculpt. The backlash when it was shown was pretty universal.

Are people really thinking there will be a ROTS version of Mace? That seems unlikely and a huge waste of a slot.

Seeing how they handled it on Padmé's headsculpt, implementing rolling eyes system on his sculpt would be worth a ROTS version alone. Add a severed hand accessory and i'd bite again.

Don’t expect any more Windu’s. We only got one Lando, one Dooku and one Qui-Gon. He’s sadly no Obi, Leia, Vader, Luke, Palps or Boba.

I honestly can’t believe people are talking about a second Mace figure when the first isn’t even out yet. Zero chance of this in the next two years.

Doubt Mace will be soon as we're still waiting for AOTC Anakin to be released. Mace should then be the next release going on when they were announced.

Oh man, does Mace predate the shift to mandatory SERS? Dammit.
Considering how underwhelming the likeness is here, HT probably could sucker people in for a V2 a year after this version releases. Classic HT style.
I'm afraid he does. Consensus in the community was it couldn't be implemented as SERS included a seam along hairline on all figures getting that treatment back then. Yet, Hot Toys managed to surprise us with their Padmé and an innovative SERS system accessible thru the neck connector meaning bald characters can now potentially get the SERS treatment.

At cost of longevity. Probably as reusable as good a condom with that clear brittle plastic.
That new neck connector is indeed a cause for concern. And, past the breakage potential, it is a real challenge to set the HS on the neck post at the first attempt and not messing the eyes.

Of course it’s not easy but they should’ve perfected the design before release. What was released with Padmé is below acceptable standards. It’s crazy how they thought this was OK for release. Possibly lack of communication and transparency between design department and production QC.
Not really. Looking back at the threads of Mace, Anakin and Padmen, Mace was officially revealed on December 29th 2022 (depending on timezone) and has no moving eyes while Anakin and Padme were revealed about 2 weeks before around December 12th 2022. However, based on what some ppl in this thread said at the time, they didn't like the idea of Mace having a visible joint at the base of his neck in order to have SERS since he's bald so they were fine not having moveable eyes if it meant no neck seam. I find that argument to be a bit silly, though, considering each Maul figure is technically bald and it doesn't look bad on him as well as the recent Black Adam figure who is also bald with SERS and neck seam that doesn't look bad either. That said, regardless of moveable eyes, the real issue with this sculpt is likeness which could be better.

I mean, they have SLJ's likeness. So the fact that they are blatenly NOT using it here tells me that the ROTS version is coming and will have it.
It just seems so obvious.
The AOTC Mace sculpt isn't an issue of it being off or could use some work. It flatout does not look anything like SLJ whatsoever. Not by any stretch of the imagination. At all. Zero, ziltch, nodda.

My thought process as well.
Not sure if they're new to the hobby or what but there is a very very small chance that they announce a Mace Windu for ROTS after the AoTC just released. They even added the TCW armor gauntlets.
Our opinion on the head sculpt aside, HT just wouldn't do that, this will be our chance at Mace for the foreseeable future.

They did the exact same thing with TV series Ahsoka. Why is it out the realm of possibility that they'd do it with Mace?
First release was "Man-soka" as I've grown to call it. Second release used Dawson's likeness. It's a easy tactic to get people to buy the character twice.
