Ugh.
I felt that the quality of these movies has been declining since the Gareth Edwards Godzilla, and this looks like it will continue the trend. I hate movies with giant things that move as if there's no real weight to them... almost like they're CGI characters being animated by people who don't understand gravity.
After that trailer, I really don't want to see this at all.

Yeah. GvK walked up to the line and maybe put a pinky toe across it. This film looks to have jumped about 20 feet over the line.

Kong with an axe was a bit too far But he was still animalistic. We dont need action man Kong punching a piece of building thrown at him like he’s the Hulk. I want giant monsters fighting like giant monsters not like humans fighting each other. Got plenty of films for that. I don’t need Kong as an action star.

We are probably seeing the last of the monster verse films. I’ll be shocked if this does well.

Obviously I could be wrong about all this but from what I’ve seen in the trailer it looks like I’ll be right.

I personally hate the idea of a team up monster movie. The ending of GvK was enough of that. Did not need Goji and Kong to meet again for a follow up film.

Between this ridiculous plot for the new movie and the embarrassingly awful TV series, I too feel like this will likely be the end of the MV as we know it.

I'll watch it but I can already tell this film is just soulless and by the numbers. I hate that considering there's so much that could be used to make a great MV movie, THIS is what they went with. Sigh.
