Hot Toys C-3PO (ROTJ)

I just got my AOTC version of C-3PO recently. This version is more iconic but part of me isn’t overly excited about buying it.

It not being sold out anywhere is probably a factor in the lower price too. I already ordered with a coupon from AE, otherwise I would have taken advantage of this.

Yeah if a figure is sold out at Sideshow, the Hong Kong sellers will add $50-100+ to the price of theirs.

Eyes are nice and bright, that's for sure.

I hope that big warning label on the box can be removed.

Doesn’t change the fact they are unreliable and lied that it was already shipping. I stand by my statement.

To be fair crate pics showed up a couple days before CNY so it was somewhat common knowledge he was releasing. I'm sure TWL didn't have any to ship out when they made that post though lol.

Please tell me those elbow actuator hinges are made of die-cast or some sort of metal...

Looks like a really nice figure. I still think the heads a little out of scale ( smaller ) compared to the actual costume and for me it’s over weathered, but I’m sure that latter can be adjusted. Glad for everyone who ordered this. I’ll be hanging on for the eventual ANH release though.

I think AOTC has more bang for the buck! Not a fan of the speckle weathering.

Head shape reminds me of the SS kind of, though I prefer this one.

Weathering looks more tarnished than dusty, which is unfortunate. Not super into the black plastic frame under his chest piece sticking out when his torso is cranked back, but it looks like it's not visible if he's standing straight up. Salacious Crumb doesn't look the best. Overall, I think he still looks great and am looking forward to getting him!

I want this figure... but Im still looking at the price like....

Head looks slightly under-scaled but not so badly that good posing won't mitigate it. I suspect the weathering will be a touch heavy-handed and maybe even slightly variable from figure to figure or batch to batch, but not by much.

Overall I think it looks good and will pair very nicely with R2.

Changes the fact that you said he wasn't ready and all that jazz. Like I said originally, I don't buy from TW, I don't trust TW, I wouldn't tell my worst enemy to buy from TW. I simply said, 'Toy Wonderland said this was ready to ship, are there any pics' and you , confidently yet wrongly, said it wasn't ready and such. So again, no debate on your statement about TW. Much debate about the other part of your statement

It’s got to be better than ssc weathering! I’ve had him since release and it looks like he’s spilt chocolate sauce all over his parts..
