I now have a problem of space in the display... wolf is rather large. As it should be!

Eyes should be red, I know.

Apart from that I am pretty satisfied.

Although I'd rather it not have it, I don't really mind the scar on the face, since my Jon Snow is something in between seasons 6 and 8, and by then I am pretty sure Ghost should have already some scars, even before the Long Night.

Color perception is whiter in hand than what it looks in the pictures.

Here you can get a better perception of the overall size and feel of the direwolf in my collection.

Yes, Jon Snow and Ghost are the only Game of Thrones figures I got.

Confirmed on what I knew would be a ******** Q&A:

Both GoT and Walking Dead lines are dead. They clearly want to focus on anime forever now.
Hopefully a 3rd party steps up. I doubt inArt will go deep into GOT, just a few select characters.

But I’m afraid the boat has sailed on both franchises.

I’m grateful for what we got. Many characters I wish I had, but my Game of Thrones shelf is as packed as my Star Wars shelves. Hopefully some other company will pick up the license. There’s still demand for these figures, even if it’s not what it once was.

Weird how there are no HOTD figures, even unlicensed. Guarantee a Daemon would sell.
HOTD is still a young show and the Season 1 time jump sort of hurts identifying with a specific character/actor - just when you were getting attached to one actor's portrayal, they switch haflway through to a new actor.

Also, the 2-year gap between HOTD seasons halts a lot of the momentum. IIRC, the seasons on the original GOT were released yearly (with the exception of the last one) so the hype train kept rolling.

That being said, while HOTD will be sucessful, I doubt it will ever regain being in the cultural zeitgust that GOT captured in the 2010s. That was like a once in a generation moment.

Hope we get some figures out of HOTD, although I'm not sure if I like any of the charaters more than the original GOT. At least not yet.

Yeah, considering this new show has 2-3 interesting characters so far compared to GoT's 9-12 in their first season, I doubt it will make it to a 4th Season.

So true. The time jumps really made it hard to focus on most of the characters. In the first half of the season, every time you got attached to somebody, they killed them or recast them the following week. I really liked it, but I'm really, really glad they're done with the time jumps.

That said, the show's not actually designed to run for very long. It's apparently a closed-ended story and they're only planning to do three or four seasons. After they finish the whole Dance of Dragons storyline, they're planning to move on to another part of Targaryen family timeline with a whole new cast and story. At least that's what they were saying a year or so ago.

Oh, so like little miniseries about the different families. I suppose that's better press to start with, so that none of the shows look like failures, just "limited editions" :lol

:lol

Yeah, I think they're planning several series about different groups of Targaryens specifically. (Martin has a two-book history of the family. Though I believe the second book hasn't been released yet. Huge surprise!) The shows would cover different periods in Targ history.

But who knows if they'll ever make those shows. With their current CEO, it wouldn't surprise me at all if he started pulling plugs on stuff so he can finish smashing HBO into the ground so he can really focus on the 90-Day Fiancé Cinematic Universe.

Those Discovery reality shows must have really high profit margins since they’re not paying the “talent” that much and the production budgets are low.

Before the merger-acquisition, I never thought Discovery was that big or had enough capital to even purchase Warner Bros/HBO.

Big budget Hollywood type films/shows are such a risky proposition, one movie can bomb and sink a studio.

Hope the Jon Snow Wildings project gets resurrected a few years down the road, once the vitriol from GOT S8 subsides somewhat.

I don’t know if it’s possible but I’d like Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) to return somehow in the Jon Snow show and have her character redeemed. If Jon Snow can be resurrected, why can’t she?

Beniof/Weiss did her character dirty after building up all that hype through the years - even if she did not end up sitting on the Iron Throne, they didn’t have to dispose of her like that. The evil turn didn’t make sense (or was not developed enough to justify).
