Sad news. His role on Alien Nation was still fresh in my mind at the time, making it hard for me to buy him as a Vulcan. But rewatching some of his episodes later I really came to love his performance.

With Nanjin having recently teased T’pol behind Kira’s packaging via FB, and with the sad news of Gary Grahams passing - could we potentially get a Soval?
Without going too deep into ST:ENT, like Shran, Soval was pretty essential to the crew and theirs adventurers. First a foe and then in the end an ally.
I’d like to think we may get him eventually, a nice character design to put next to all the Blue jumpsuits. Also, much more worthy of a figure then Reed - shame he’s classed as part of the poster crew so would come first. The turd.
Anyway, Soval all the way.

Yeah I was originally going to stick with just Archer, T'Pol, and Shran from that series, but would be seriously tempted by a Soval as well.

He wore a few different outfit variations throughout the series, Soval would look great in 1/6. He’s just as important as Shran IMO.
I didn’t mind the Malcolm Reed character, there were a few episodes like Shuttlepod One where the writing allowed him to shine. I know some people think Dominic Keating is a little out there but I think he delivered on Enterprise. I guess he decided to leave the podcast that he was doing with Conner Trinneer.

Agreed.
I have no issues with Dominic Keating as a person or actor. I quite like his “out there” views.
There was just sometning about Reed and how he was portrayed/how the show runners wanted him to come across.
Just a bit of a turd, which actually is a compliment to Keatings acting because he clearly did a bloody good job

Dammit!
I was determined not to go down the Enterprise rabbit hole, because it is the show I watched and probably connected to the least. I mean, I was ALWAYS going to get T’Pol…..you know because she’s a stand out character. But I’ve been rewatching the show lately and enjoying it quite a bit. And just t this evening, I found myself eyeing Shran for the 12th time or so because I do love my EXO aliens and finally pulled the trigger!
Then, knowing that Shran and T’Pol (and Hoshi, duh
) would be desperately out of context on display without their Captain, I then swung over to Alterego and picked up Archer for $154 shipped with some aging Reward Points.
So now I’m all the way in it seems. Might have to add a new wing to the house to display all this stuff, but you’ve gotta do what you’ve gotta do.
Pray for me…

What kind of controversy was there with Dominic Keating?
Just do what I did. Trek is my favorite of all the fandoms. When Nanjin announced Exo-6 I already knew I was in for everything. I don't have any of the internal conflicts on if I like a character enough to get it or not. It's Star Trek, it's 1/6, so I'm buying it.Dammit!

IMO Archer and Shran are two of the better figures they've produced, I'm looking forward to the rest of the line.

I don’t think his departure from the podcast is related to a controversy (at least that I’m aware of). He’s had some health issues prior so it could be that. I think some fans were maybe put off with his interview style on the podcast judging by the comments on some of the videos. I thought he meshed well with Conner Trinneer personally, you can’t please everyone.

Captain Archer is aboard, and DAMN! I didn’t expect to be this impressed! This is a very solid sculpt in hand!
I did lighten his hair a touch (with lighting not paint), and he looked a little flat right out of the packaging, but a little light from above to accentuate the sculpt’s detail and a low intensity lamp to add some brightness and depth to his eyes, and he looks amazing. Looking forward to putting Shran next to him……and T’Pol

I’ll probably just stick with Archer, Shran, and then get T’Pol whenever she releases. Maybe I’ll add Trip too.
I won’t be going beyond T’Pol. I like the trinity of human Archer, Andorian Shran and Vulcan T’Pol. The founding races of the Federation.
No I do not need a Tellarite figure.

Never thought I'd say it, but with the combination of rediscovering Enterprise with some binge watching (and really enjoying it, I think I initially tapped out on ST:E after the first few episodes and then maybe catching an episode here and there only in subsequent seasons - I never thought it was bad, just didn't grab me for some reason early on) and how unexpectedly good Archer turned out, I think I'd be in for Trip, Malcom, Flox, possibly Travis and Hoshi, and..... uh......T'Pol! Forgot she was on the show there for a minute.
I found STE good. Not great but good and certainly had some really good episodes.
Phlox was my favorite character and I wish they utilized him more.

I loved this series since the pilot and have done multiple rewatches yet despite the many years that have gone by, I still get bummed out when Season 4 comes to an end. Manny Coto was talented as hell.
I thought it was a successful prequel, we missed out on a lot that was planned for Season 5.

ENT's problem is the first half was basically another 2 seasons of Voyager ("we're on our own out here and gosh there sure are a lot of jerks"). The approach used for season 4 should've been season 1; show us how the Federation came to be. Too little too late as they say.
That said, I love it dearly... admittedly with a lot of appreciation for its potential propping it up lol.
