It definitely feels like Hot Toys phoned this one in. I have the original and to me that one still looks good given its age. I’m not sure this is better. I’d be curious to see a side by side comparison.

Is Hot Toys okay?

See a lot of people still clamoring for a Pfeiffer Catwoman by Hot Toys. My question is, why? Look at their track record so far. 1. It would have a mediocre likeness 2. You couldn’t pose it well 3. The suit would detoriate in less than four years.

What is the point? After Goblin, and Maguire Spider-Man and now Catwoman, I don’t even have a wish list of things I want them to do anymore. They can keep cranking out Star Wars and Marvel.

Who would have thought no name third party companies and no name companies in general would be doing the best work.

Not bad...for a figure released in 2010. Terrible for 2024.

I've more faith in Mars Toys than Hot Toys now.

I'll wait for the InArt Hathaway Catwoman and hope Mars make Pfeiffer, Newmar and Kravitz versions.

I understand the mask is meant to stay on but the new one looks so lifeless. Also her forehead looks huge. The hair should be more full.

Hmm. Looks alright I guess and I don't have the first version. Anyone know if InArt is rumored to be working on one?

Nothing definite but on one of Justin's videos he interviewed Viper who confirmed the line would go beyond Joker and Batman.

Bane and Catwoman would seem very probable.

Not seeing the likeness in any of these shots. They made her eyes way too small. Ended up making her look more generic than looking like Hathaway.

Funny how they had that bigger eye aspect more accurate on the first version, outside of the poor paint job it got. Repainting that first versions sculpt might have actually given a better result then doing a new one.

Hairs always looks like a doll and something is definetely off in the proportions of the face, on your pic cheeks look too hollow, but with different lighting in this scene it looks okay.

And here at the level of the mask the holes for the eyes are larger in the film.

I like it.
Not enough to buy it, but the paint looks better. Hopefully some more comparisons come out. I wish I got the queen 1/6 statue, but I don't have room for that.

I take issue with the mask more than the likeness. I think the new sculpt isn’t the worst, save for the five-head hairline (wtf is with that? I guess they figures a permanently affixed mask would hide that somewhat), but the mask is all sorts of wonky. It’s too thick, the eye cutouts are far too small and narrowing her eyes, and the general outline and profile of the mask is wrong. Anne has huge eyes, which are too small on the sculpt to begin with, and it’s only worsened by the lack of skin around her eyes showing through because the eye holes are just so tiny.

Now we have seen some face comparisons it would be nice to see the bodies side by side to see what they have changed proportions wise. Anybody able to find those?

Like many I think the original head is better. Obviously the new one is more detailed but the likeness is off.

But as with all of these the suit/gloves will rot and that’s just not good enough on an item this expensive! Hot toys need to research some materials that do not dry out and flake! For that reason I have ordered the the Queen statue which will not degrade. To be honest I am now steering away from any pleather figures and going statue for those characters. I am also avoiding seamless bodies as they also split and crack 🙄 I may end up just getting statues at this rate. I want these items to last for my lifetime they are collectibles not disposable items.
