I lost my $2.00, that’s it. I’m guessing I probably missed the invoice, though I’m usually careful about checking my spam folders.

Ordered after i got a in stock email for this figure.

Was there any other concerns regarding the figure beside the chainmail size?

Someone mentioned weak leg/knee joints on facebook. Don't know if that is just his copy or general problem of this figure

Got the notification from gundamit that this was back in stock so I've placed my order this morning.
The details are not perfect but for the price it looks pretty good, at least from what I've seen on youtube and instagram.

Here are a couple shots from a user on instagram that I thought were cool:

Thanks for the "Back in stock" tips! I don't have a display plan yet, but couldn't help ordering.....
Me neither! As I looked into ordering this figure, I had forgotten that Sauron was so tall! I wonder where I'm gonna put this thing :p
With this figure at just under 23 inches, that assumes he was 11.4 feet tall in the movie!

It made me curious about what his movie height might actually be. I saw some chatter about that early in the thread but I wanted to look into it myself. The books seem to imply 8-10 feet tall but never confirmed a number, while the film interpretation also seems a bit hard to nail down. Most people online seem to estimate him appearing to be 12-13 feet tall in the movies, however some behind the scenes shots might indicate something more like 9 feet. However as another user posted earlier in the thread, Weta said that forced perspective was used to intentionally make Sauron appear larger than the actual on-set performer, so that's an unreliable indicator (which allows us to assume the intent was greater than 9 feet).

Weta Workshop is probably a good source, considering they made all the props and effects for the movies! And as Weta also specified, they used the only reliable indication of relative scale available (the boot vs sword) in order to calculate Sauron's actual height for their statue.
The Weta Workshop's 1/6 scale Sauron statue is 66.5 cm high including the base (around 26 inches), by my estimation from photos (best I can do without seeing a direct comparison) Sauron appears to make up ~62 cm of that height (24.4 inches), putting him at full size in the ballpark of 12 feet and 2.5 inches.

If we consider another high end collectible, Prime 1 Studio's 1/4 Sauron appears by my estimation to be around 79cm (31.1 inches) from foot to point which would instead place him around 10.5 feet tall. Then if we were to average the assumed heights between Weta Workshop and Prime 1 Studio, we arrive at...11.4 feet tall, the same height this "Dark Ruler" seems to be using. Is that a coincidence? 🤔

In the end, Sauron is canonically known to be a shapeshifter, thus his height can be variable! And it seems to me that this figure is in the right ballpark between other high-end offerings either way.

Looks so good. Hard to imagine a company doing it drastically better ESPECIALLY at this price point. Even 18 inch NECAs are around 150 now...well outside TMNT, NECA doesn't do 1/4 scale any longer.

ONly improvements MAYBE real metal armor??? Light up eyes and better chain-mail skirt.

Very solid figure and more than worth the price imo.

Metal and articulated? You’d probably have to add another 0 behind the total price of this figure
The consensus with everyone is it's a really good looking figure, can't believe it's only $220 and wish the chain mail skirt links was smaller.

So YES, it's a good figure.

His biggest negative point ? its base lol

But overall it's a very beautiful piece.
It's nice. Very very nice. A Custom base or a base from a different figure would be a nice. touch.

Probably one with a stand....just to. Make sure.
