I'm not sure how well-known these Fusion Reactors are, but I bought a bunch of them last year and got them wired up. Very happy with how they turned out. Put together a short video:

What is the average price range for a light saber kit?

No, the sabers are just the Hot Toys sabers. The Fusion Reactor is a hard-wire system to power the sabers and other light-up features. Basically you tell him what all the different batteries are for a given figure. For instance, HT ESB Vader has 3x AAA for the base, one size watch batteries for the saber arm, another size watch batteries for the belt boxes, and another size for the chest box. He makes "dummy" batteries that fit inside the battery compartments. The dummy batteries have wires connected to them. Then all the wires from all those different items connect together so that each figure only has a single USB cable. Then the USB cable from each figure goes to a USB hub, which he includes. Each hub has 7 ports. Then it's up to you to power the USB hub. He recommends a 5V/2A wall adapter. Instead of that I got an Anker 60W 6-port charger. The USB hub cords are long enough to get just outside the Detolf. Then I got USB extension cables and fished them underneath the Detolfs over to the Anker charger. The Anker charger goes into an Amazon smart oulet, and I have a Ring sensor on the collection room door. I set up a routine where the door opens and all the figures light up, close the door and they turn off.

Most of the figures were fairly straight forward, but a few were challenging. The HT ANH Vader belt boxes were impossible. I gave Hendra some feedback, but I'm not sure there's anything he can do about it. The batteries sit so deep inside there was no way to fit the dummy battery. I ended up cutting it off and just connecting the leads directly to the battery terminals. Fortunately the ESB Vader they changed the design and it was no problem. On the IG-88 I had to do some dremeling inside the head to get the wire routed, no big deal, you can't see it once it's back together. My first pass on Carbonite Han I think I pushed the battery pack in too fast/ hard and sheared the wires right off LOL. But I soldered them back together, untwisted them so they'd be single width through the crack, and pushed it in slowly and carefully and it's fine now. Then there's R2 and 3PO with touch panels, so they don't come on automatically, but oh well.

A basic figure with just a saber arm runs about $25. The Sideshow ESB/ROTJ Vader and HT Vader were the most expensive at about $65. I think it was nearly $800 for all the figures, but I have no regrets. I love it when I walk into the room and everything comes on. I'll be making another order at the end of the year when the HT ROTJ Vader and Flash Batman figures arrive.
