Just opened mine up - first Star Wars Hot Toy. I swore myself not to start down this path. But the moment they started doing PT and Sith Anakin, had to get him. And I genuinely think this is probably figure of 2018. The tailoring is phenomenal and the cloak is great, the sculpt has so much presence! Bloody love it!
Did everyone wash Anakin's cloak?
He doesn't have that much exposed skin that the cloak would touch and I don't see it changing the dark hair color too much if at all.

All this time I've had Anakin I forgot to check if his base works. Thankfully, despite having to rip open all my remotes for enough AAA batteries, the lights seem to work fine.
Very bright, very cool. And after a few minutes various areas dim slowly and then light back up.
People were saying flicker so I was expecting more of a flickery fire effect I guess, took me while to even notice that parts were going dark and then lighting back up. But its a nice little extra rather than just a light-up base.

It's so hard to even notice i don't know why they even did it. If your not looking you might miss it.
Yeah. I was expecting it to be more obvious, and I kept looking and waiting. Then finally I noticed.
It's funny, some people here seemed to think their base was fading out improperly. I mean its so obviously part of the electronics, the same areas go dark and brighten in a sequence of sorts. But I wonder if there is actually faulty wiring that makes the flickering seem wacky.

It's a phenomenal base, maybe the coolest base HT ever made and ideal for this figure.
Was doing the same thing myself last nite. Base is cool but I’m currently using it, but think I’ll change it tonite as it looks too empowering on my shelf.
Be careful when posing the head. The sculpt on the bottom part of the hair is sharp and pointy, it’ll snag the fabric of the tunic’s collar.

Surprised they don't do the base Obi wan was on to match up with this figure during the Mustafar fight.

Even if the base is accurate, the calm expression doesn’t really suit the intensity of the battle

i mean,the hologram table is an amazing piece in and of itself.So all good.
Was thinking the same thing. I had the original Ani, and finally caved and bought the Dark Side headsculpt and base. I have the deluxe Obi on pre-order, and was thinking how odd it's going to look having him paired with Dark Side Ani on this huge, awesome, light up base that will have the figure towering over Obi. Maybe someone will come up with a custom Obi base to sort of make the pairing up with them more suitable for a saber battle.

I personally think it’s pretty stern myself. At least it comes across as so on the regular sculpt.

I have a feeling they’ll release another Obiwan with that base. After this one is released. Just like they did with the Anakin releases.

Sigh...you are probably right. This pairing has been an exercise in punishment and difficulty with Hot Toys, lol. You figure with the Deluxe Obi you would have all your bases covered (figuratively) but even with that purchase, yeah, they are still lacking the base/possible dirty outfit for Obi. Oh well, I'm sure I'll just overpay on eBay again for the base. I can live without the dirty Obi clothes (or darken them myself) but the base is sort of a must have if you want to also display Ani on his and pair them together.
The base is why i bought two. I got one early from SSC and by the time it shipped it was available from Pop so i ordered one from there. Then sold my 1st one but kept the base for Kenobi. I can also pick up a second parted out Kenobi outfit and weather it myself
I would not be suprised at all if HT did the same thing and do a second battle damaged Kenobi with a correct base for him to stand on but if they don't i'm covered.

I see no points why would Hot Toys release Mustafar battle damaged version Kenobi
... that base is HUGE.
I would guess it would be a small part of it not the whole thing. Probably about the same size as Anakins.
