shipping soon notice from SS for Tuesday the 15th
How much is your shipping in-state? Did the Joker have 2 boxes? Was wondering why the shipping rate is almost triple that of Origins Batman.
I just checked after you asked and it's outrageous! it's $130 and I live just a few miles from SS. All my other Prime 1 1/3 scale pieces were only $28-$30 shipping. I just emailed SS asking if this was an error.

something has happened in just the last Month whether it's new expenses from China or other the P1 shipping has increased from SS.P1 Scarecrow was $35 and three weeks later Killer Croc was $190 from SS.Even though it was in 2 Boxes that is a lot for shipping just up the road to SF.A collector friend of mine in Texas paid exactly the same $190 from SS for his KC.So something is happening.

Something is definitely going on. Usually my Prime 1 1:3s are $50 shipped from Sideshow and my Arkham Knight Joker is going to be $150. The shipping price literally tripled!

I mentioned in the other forum, but I think a separate thread should be kept to keep track of these significantly changing shipping costs. And/or start a post on Sideshow’s collector group.

Let us know what they say. The Prime 1 Venom had a discounted shipping deal of $100 and that is 2 boxes. It seems like this one came in only 1 box. I'm almost debating on cancelling the EX and waiting to see if the regular will get one of those shipping deals, I think I could live without that Red Hood and save a few bucks, help someone else on the waitlist get a conversion.

"Unfortunately, due to the size of this item, we are charged an extra fee called the "large package" surcharge. This rate is not inflated from what we are being charged to ship this item to you. $132.03 is the correct ship quote. My apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. "

The abhorrent charges that we’ve been seeing recently are really making me concerned about what I’ll be charged for my current Prime 1 preorders from Sideshow.
I’m guessing that I could’ve got just as ‘competitive’ pricing for shipping to Australia from Prime 1 directly.
If I didn’t know better I would say that Sideshow is no longer absorbing some of the shipping costs for non Sideshow pieces, but that of course doesn’t make any sense as they make money regardless of which pieces are sold, though of course their margins are probably different.

I added prime 1 aquaman to the basket on the prime 1 site. Shipping said over $250. I left it there lol

Great. In addition to increasing prices, long preorder windows, and other concerns voiced throughout this forum, now we have increased shipping costs to worry about. This hobby continues to get harder and harder to participate in.

Thanks for the update.
I cancelled my order and will wait to see if there's a discounted shipping offer on him before he goes waitlist. I feel like he might linger around a bit like Harley Quinn since the Arkham Knight version released at the same time, which might split the buyers. Also a lot of the Origins statues don't seem to sell out as quickly as the AK ones. A lot of the Transformers Prime 1 seemed to get it as well as the Venom recently, fingers crossed.

And I won’t be surprised if the shipping from Sideshow ends up being around the same, if not far more considering how much they’re now charging for local shipping, when it ships in two years.

Unfortunately those particular orders are Exclusives, otherwise I would preorder locally. As I've mentioned previously, I have to spend an additional 30 to 60% on top of what Popcultcha charges me, in order to get the Exclusives direct from Sideshow.
And with the increasing shipping and falling Australian dollar, I wouldn't be surprised if that percentage increases even further.
Posted this on the other forum but thought I would share here as well.
To start off the Statue is stellar, best Joker statue out there right now IMO. Portraits are stunning, paint app and pose are excellent. Statue has tons of presence and the colors are vibrant, rich and deep, some of the best I've seen from Prime 1 so far.
