You mean if the blue parts were black, he’d be perfect. I’ve personally been waiting for the ‘Gotham knight’ version of this Batman.

yea I think if they decided to do that, I might be interested in 'upgrading' to that version. As it stands though, I like my current Gotham Knight figure. I wouldn't say no to a black cape like the one this one comes with.

Given it's a comic book Batman I'm glad they went with the midnight blue and grey combination. Black I associate more with movie versions.

I was supposed to have gotten mine yesterday. Now it's lost in UPS limbo. Tracking has been stalled for 2 days when it was a couple of hours away yesterday. Will contact SS customer support if things don't update tomorrow.

I was disappointed with the quality of their Gotham Knight figure, but this one is a huge improvement. Hard to believe they were actually made by the same company.

Sideshow 1/6 Batman

Kind of looks like he has a five o’clock shadow. This is the only one I’ve seen this on. Is it just picture quality or does it look like that in hand?

Wow!! I'm so glad that crouching pose wasn't a touched up photo. I can't wait to get mine to see how they did the leg articulation to be able to do that pose. The cape looks awesome as well, in one of saint's pics it seems you can manipulate it to to look like having pointed sharp ends at the shoulders.

So what would be a good body for the Bruce Wayne head if I wanted to use it separately?

Got this yesterday. The figure looks great but with some of the same Sideshow problems. The thigh swivel on mine is loose. I moved it and thought it had broken off. The color between the cape and cowl are different shades of blues as well. Other than those two nit picks I love it. He poses beautifully!

Let me know if you find out a good body to use for the Wayne head, please :)

Got the head for TA and the first Sideshow body is really great on him. You will have to mod or get a bigger neck joint that has a bigger ball on the head side

Does the head just sit on the neck loosely? If that’s the case, on a stand maybe I can just leave it there loosely. I’ve never done a modification on a 1/6 figure. A little nervous at the moment. Can’t wait to see pictures of his head on a suited body.

I’m playing/watching the batman telltale series on my phone and it’s given me this very James Bond sense when I think of Bruce Wayne now. Lol I’ve got to have him in a suit.

My figure arrived yesterday and I was VERY pleased with how this figure came out. I really liked most of what sideshow did with their previous Batmen so I expected to like this too but hoped for some improvement. And, I think as a whole I like this one more. The head alone is a huge improvement as my biggest complaint about the previous Bats was that the mouth plates were always really exaggerated and made him look old. I think Sideshow sculptors generally have a really hard time sculpting realistic heroes that are not based on real people and they always over exaggerate facial detail. The unmasked head suffers from that same sideshow sculpting issue but the masked head looks great. Cleanly painted too. Sad we didn't get swappable mouth plates this time but the expression is good enough that I probably wouldn't change it anyway.

The body proportions is an improvement as a whole vs the old Bats bodies beefy upper body, and really thin abs/waist area. I miss the upper body bulk a bit but the proportions look so much better so I can get over it. Interestingly, I didn't realize from the pics they used the torso from their Evil Dead 2 Ash on this, the one with the weird fang looking obliques on the upper chest that hang over the lower half. It looks weird as hell on Ash, but with the tights covering them here its a non issue and doesn't look strange. I don't think the arms are from Ash as they seem bigger but they have the same rotation at the elbow instead of the top of the biceps that body had. It functions fine though I'm not used to seeing that on figures that don't have exposed arms.

Also, this figure continues the trend of Sideshow Batman having the best stock capes. This thing flows and drapes wonderfully. I can't imagine anyone wanting to swap this out.

Really, the only complaint I had was the had pegs were really tight to remove and I was afraid of breaking them but otherwise this is a huge win for SS. The price isn't too out of line by current day 1/6 standards (which themselves are arguably way too high but thats another issue) and I don't have any regrets with the purchase. You're not getting a ton of extra accessories outside of hands and two batarangs but I never use most of that stuff anyway so for me, less stuff sitting in a box never being touched isn't a huge detractor. He looks rad as **** in my 1/6 Batman display and manages to hold his own as far as shelf presence when compared with all the Hot Toys stuff I have on that same shelf.
