There’s no wire in the cape, but I actually wish it had one for dynamic poses. It touches the ground which can affect the way it drapes. However in my pic the wind came at just the right time to blow it in the air.

Gotcha. Someone’s def gonna need to make custom capes for this guy then. Not feeling that stock one at all.

So what's the deal with Stormbreaker?

Why is everyone going for another one?

Not everyone but those who are dissatisfied with it are complaining about how small it is compared to the movie. It’s almost screen accurate as far as detail goes but it has these smaller vines near the axe and towards the bottom that are not in the movie but only on conception or promo art.

There have been several posts comparing the toy to the movie and for some it’s too small and for others it fine.

It’s not bad and it is beautifully done but for me I’d like to see what it looks like with a proper sized weapon. I’ll make do with what I have till the new one arrives. For me it’s worth the extra money just like buying the OSK Ben Aflek Head and cowl armor for my BVS Batman. Not necessary but worth it to me.

Incredible piece right outta the box. Haven't futzed with many of the accessories but will check them all out shortly for qc purposes. My only gripe is the stand, with no trump stand the clamp style grip on the dynamic post leaves nowhere for the Cape to go if you just have him standing. I had to drape it to the left, not ideal. Gonna have to get a different stand.

I think TDW Thor sculpt has the greatest likeness in my opinion. IW war Thor is really good too.

For long time Thor fans, like myself, I find it hard to believe any figure other than either TDW or AOU figures could be their favorite. But for MCU MOVIE fans, I could see this being their favorite as his best on screen action and performance was in IW (and the beginning scene in Ragnarok was bad a $$ too!).

I think his second best look was Roadworn Thor which I'm kinda sorry I passed on. And I do want this, but the price is hard to swallow for me. And I already have 4 Thor's. I hope I don't eventually regret not getting this if I decide to pass.

Has anyone dropped the IW head (and eye patch) on the Ragnarok Thor? Debating whether I need this whole figure or just the eyepatch and head.

Got him in yesterday!!! Love it, absolutely love it.

The DX07 raised the bar though. Why not have released this as a 2 pack.

1 with eyepatch sculpt and sleeveless no cape = how he looked up until the final battle sequence with Storm breaker

1 without eyepatch sculpt and sleeves along with cape = how he looked in the final battle sequence with Storm Breaker

What do you all think? I personally would have done a backflip for that kind of 2-pack option!!!

One consideration to take into account is the instruction manual warns against prolong contact of eyepatch to sculpt could cause paint transfer.

If anyone was interested the HT Storm Breaker is 6 3/4 inches long or 17.14 centimeters.

thanks for that jedijim3002 I was just seeing all the discussion on the BT version of Storm breaker and was wondering what the difference is size is. Contemplating getting this larger Storm Breaker. Might want to see some in hand pics first....:wink1:

I am considering getting this guy, but as you have probably noticed on the Vader threads... I have a bit of an OCD regarding movie accuracy.

Can someone tell me how movie accurate he is to IW and what things aren't accurate?

Also, lots of comments regarding chest magnets falling off, pants prone to cracking in time, the eyepatch magnet falling off, etc. These things would drive me crazy because of my OCD! If I get him, I really want to preserve him as much as possible. I plan on posing him with the Wakanda look and I am scared to change all the pieces without accidentally breaking anything!

On the other hand, it's either getting this or ROTJ Luke. On that one, there is almost nothing to change and I will pose him as he is - I don't plan on even attempting to remove the fat suit.

Can you please tell me of all the potential issues with the Thor figure? And maybe advise me on which one to get (huge SW fan with two HT Vaders, but also huge Avengers fan and don't own anything Marvel-related).

Thank you and much appreciated!

Currently have roadworn and im in love with it. Tried to resist this but eventually gave in. Honestly HTs best thor work. I think youll regret it in the long run, especially if youre missing roadworn

The only accuracy problem is the axe. The head isnt big enough, the handle not close to long enough. The vines that wrap around and the little leaf are nowhere to be seen in the film. But thats about it really. And the figure is spectacular. No way you regret picking it up. At least if youre careful. I personally dont move my figures a lot. I find one pose that represents the character and they stay like that forever. Havent had any problems with pants and what not because they just sit like that so far.

Just opened up this guy today. My first and probably only Thor, and its a wonderful piece. I was a bit disappointed in his non-existent chest articulation, but to accommodate the lighting function, I guess that makes sense. At the moment, I have no desire to use the lighting function, but that may change in the future. The details on this Stormbreaker are magnificent; the different types of metal finishes will be hard for anyone to duplicate. The smaller size does not matter much to me as I am not an OCD movie accurate kind of person. I had problems getting both eyepatches to fit properly on his face. I think he looks better without them anyway
