Why ANH V2 Vader is not better than V1 ANH Vader ?

you're speaking like ANH V2 Vader is garbage or something.

That post was meant to be humorous.

But levity aside since people are taking it seriously, I do prefer v1 ANH Vader over v2 ANH Vader. The weathering on the v2 helmet looks too overdone to me and the chest box is the R1 chest box which looks too inaccurate for ANH to me. What it does have going for it is apparently the better fitting suit and the gloves.

I don’t have v2 in hand, so I can’t say for certain. Just based on what I’ve seen in people’s pictures, the v1 looks better to my eye.

So to make your intent clear, humor aside, what you're saying is that V1 ANH Vader is better than v2 ANH Vader, and V2 ANH Vader is better than SSC Vaders but not better than v1?

Wait wait wait wait! You guys forgot to include the Medicom Vaders in your lists! How can I possibly know which one is the best, most screen accurate, and worthy of purchase if not all Vaders are accounted for!

The helmet seems to be the main bone of contention with this new release.My main gripe is some of the shortcuts Hot Toys took with it such as :

1)Satin lining of inner tunic not sewn at the bottom.

That is actually screen accurate

Heck I still have the ROTJ Medi Vader, but didn't keep the SSC ANH Vader. It's not perfect, and not comparable to HT, but still an ok figure.

Maybe they fix the size of shoulderpads in ROTJ Vader and be used with ESB Vader.

Thanks! What's that cool light you're using to illuminate Vader from below? I've been wanting something like that for a while.

I ordered this ESB Vader from Alter Ego this morning. This will be my second Vader, I already have ANH Version 1. I'm hoping I can mod this figure enough that I'm happy with it. I had to do a fairly large amount of modding to get my ANH Vader to where I was happy with how it looks.

Thanks again, I gotta get a few of those. My two Vaders and my many xemomorphs would look a lot better lit from below.

My ESB Vader will ship tomorrow, hopefully he'll arrive before Friday. I have to laugh at myself because I debated and argued with myself for other a month and a half if I should get this figure or not. I decided to rewatch some of the better YouTube reviews for it and felt all my hesitation melt away.

Thank you! Yeah unfortunately there's no fix for that split top bar, but fortunately it's not that bad in hand compared to closeup shots.

I'm gonna try and fix mine with a tiny bit of apoxie sculpt and acrylic paint when my ESB Vader arrives. I'll have to remove the mask and realign the tube. Shouldn't be difficult. I did far more complicated mods on my ANH Vader already.

The split bar doesn't stand out to me at all now it's arrived. And just to trigger everybody's OCD I took a pic of him with two Stormies in a DS corridor dio I'm working on. And no, he doesn't fit properly into the space. I just didn't get a chance to build the base and change things round properly yet.
