1/6 Hot Toys - MMS409 - Suicide Squad - Batman (Rebreather Version) Collectible Figure

Has anyone tried removing the wires in the Suicide Squad cape for a decent drape display? I love the dynamic options with the cape but usually display pretty statically and am curious how well the hot toys cape would hang or if I should just buy one of Unreal or Jaxon drape capes.

I haven’t tried removing the wires, but I can tell by the material it would suck futzing a good drape (IMO). I think Jaxon’s cape looks awesome, and it’s reasonably priced. If you want static poses, I think you should get a Jaxon or Unreal cape (whichever you prefer).

interested in getting my first batman and I don't care for the Keaton or bale molds.

despite the movies quality, im a big fan of Affleck as batman, so would this be the one to get?

Yes! It's the best Batman figure HT have made in my opinion.

The BvS version is almost as good but having had both it's noticeable how they bulked him up a little for this figure. The legs look in better proportion with the body and the cowl no longer overlaps the bat symbol so get this one if you can. Sadly the capes on both versions suck so a custom is definitely recommended.

Of course you could wait for the JL version if you like that look but personally speaking I prefer the cowl and suit on this figure.

For me yes , I had both.
Suit was lighter.
The cowl does not overlap the chest embelm.
Suit is thicker (more robust)

Definitely a more imposing figure than the BvS version, IMO. Much beefier and I prefer this cape over BvS too. I still own both versions. The BvS one is the lighter color variation between mine (SS one looks pretty much completely black). So I know that will vary figure to figure. I kept my BvS one with WW and Supes on a detolf shelf. SS version is standing on a gargoyle on top of a detolf with the cape “blowing in the wind” effect.

I used acrylics to lighten up the suit for a blue/grey version on suicide squad bats. Worked like a charm.

i see this review and the guy is so so enthusiastic about the SS version and He insists on the fact the figure is muche lighter than the BvS version :

I actually thought the SS was lighter than the BVS, i then weighed both on my postal scale, BVS came in at 1lb 3 oz and SS came in at 1lb 5oz (and that was without the cape).

The BVS as a flatter finish to the suit and firmer contours which may be the reason it “feels” but in reality they are the same.

I think by 'lighter' he means the colour of the suit.

My SS Bats suit is much lighter than the two BvS bats I've had but I know for many it's been the other way around. No consistency with the paint apps on these figures.

Did you do anything to the cowl, cape, gloves, boots & bat emblem? I'm thinking it was just the main suit, but thought I'd confirm.
