The high price of entry these things demand, come with inevitable high expectations. This one appears to have not lived up to them sadly.

Not to pile on...but if I spend close to $3K with shipping on this piece, I'd be furious with myself. Yes, its got the cute blinking lights, but the odd proportions of the hands/arms, pose, no lit lightsaber and materials make it look like those big Vaders you might find at Wal-mart in the toy section.

I don't like the looks of this piece at all. The mixed media looks stiff and like poorly done cosplay. Weird pose as well.

Wow... looked lame before (single pose, no lightsaber and considering the price) and looks even worse now...

Even the reviewer is truly not impressed by it...

Seriously SSC, for a character such as Vader, you guys truly dropped the ball big time on this one... I'll keep my IS 1/4 which is 1000 miles from this.

Absolutely agree the iron studios is the grail in my opinion!

This looks awful

I feel bad for the people who spent this type of money for this turd.

Does this have a limited edition written on base or something, or is open?

Yeap, seems they'll make any numbers of these then. Expensive, ugly and open edition, all the qualities you want for a high end collectible...

When this was fully assembled I thought the same thing. Looks like a deluxe Jakk’s Pacific Vader

A life-size costume from Anovos is $2750. Add on a couple hundred for a mannequin and you would have something way better than this 1/2 scale figure.

I genuinely do not understand the appeal of this scale given the price point and lack of an edition size.

I really feel for Raf...I think I could have forgiven everything if I wanted it bad enough...except for the head looking the wrong goddamn way. really no excuse for screwing up something so simple and so important.

edit: meaning he is not looking at what he is choking, if that was not clear.

I honestly get the vibe that zero care went into producing this. It's just so painfully mediocre. This will cost almost 4k here in Australia and everything about it screams cheap, rush job.

At one point I was actually thinking about ordering this off of Popcultcha (Australia). At the time with their PPPP early preorder discount added to my member discount I could've got this for just under $3000 AUD (which is about $2,250 USD). But I ultimately decided against it as the quality of the Prime 1 BVS pieces appeared more impressive at the time. Looks like it was the right decision.

Yeah mate, I think you definitely dodged a bullet.

Haha! For sure!

On a HT Facebook group, there’s a guy who got this and says it looks better than the proto. Love is blind but whatever floats your boat.
