Remember when silly popcorn movies still had a semblance of original creative thoughts? "Independence Day" was dumb, but it was fun, it had great pacing, and it didn't treat the audience like retards. It was wasn't high art, but it was exactly what it was supposed to be, a fun action movie roller coaster.

I think there's an enormous gulf between the dumb popcorn movies of yesteryear and the cinematic abortions they're releasing now. The Independence Day sequel is a perfect example.

i can understand someone disliking a movie but thats why his post is bait. you can see right through it. hes trying to flame.

Flame who? It's a garbage movie. I was actually shocked by how terrible the first half hour or so was. I just can't imagine being able to sit through **** like this and spend money on it.

It's not unique though. Pretty much every movie I've watched in the last few years has been crap.

"Get Out" was good. I liked "Gone Girl." I liked "Django" and "Hateful 8." But I can't think of anything else off the top of my head that wasn't just watered down recycled dogturds.

I really really loved it a lot.
It was really funny, all the jokes were great. The rock was really great actually. He did great as the nerd, he had a lot of funny moments,
Jack black also was hilarious as the dumb pretty girl. He had a lot of funny awkward moments that were hilarious.
Kevin hart was just same typical kevin hart.

I had a really great time with a full theater today. Audience had a great time also.

I checked the screening of the last jedi and there were 3people...

Apparently the movie gets better once the Breakfast Club crap is over? I love The Rock so I can see how he's likeable playing a big tough guy that's really a dweeb inside. And the redhead chick is hot. Kevin Hart is Kevin Hart. And Jack Black is a shallow teenage girl excited to experience having a ****.

I should have just fast forwarded to where they're in the game. But jesus the set up was so excrutiatingly obvious and cliched. I can't believe the writers or studio thought that was necessary.

Ill admit i didnt even remember the beginning that much.
I know they get detention and find the game, but i cant remember how they get detention or how they get to school.
Your hate might be completely justified.
These characters are losers and smug jerks so the set up males them kinda unlikable. I do remember the instagram chick posting selfies lol

I would suggest you do fast forward until they appearin the game because thats the real point of the movie.
The real movie is inside the game. The tone is different once the real actors show up.
It stops being breakfast club and becomes a true jungle adventure. And a true comedy.


This to me is still one of the best The Rock performances. The redhead has some hilarious moments. Shes not just hot but very funny


You might hate the villain for being cliche and being one note,but since this is a video game, hes meant to be like that.

Why does this movie have a defense force?

I thought it didn't suck as much as I thought it would, but deer lord don't defend it, it was just a not-so-bad reboot/sequel of a not-so-beloved franchise in a sea of god awful reboot/sequels of very beloved franchises.

I think if people liked it at all, it was only because our collective expectations are dirt low when it comes to these kinds of movies.

Saw it with my whole family everyone was cracking up the whole time. The plot is just insanely simple and boring and seems like it was made for 5-10 year olds. But then has some adult humor thrown in. It really wasn't eye bleeding bad I promise.
