The statue is 95% awesome but that other 5% kills it.

I'll try to take one tonight when I get back home. Here's one that I did take though.

Let me check the skull when I get home. Any I didn't notice any issues when I moved the whole thing from my photo table to the display stand. Seemed pretty secure to me.

Looking nice pal , me to would like to know your opinion on the head magnets please.
People have reported the head can be knocked off far to easily with as much as your little finger.

Yes...I wrote them over the weekend. Now I'm waiting on the 3-5 day response. There are still a few people here who have not received theirs yet. I am anxiously waiting your reviews and opinions.

I'm at work, but I believe it was a separate piece, I only say that because the leg netting went underneath it and the paint looked to too. Probably pegged AND glued. Felt like it didn't want to move at all, and I didn't want to mess with it beyond that point.

Thanks for the info. I am sure eventually someone out there is going to pry that loose and move it. The problem is maybe it won’t fit on the side of the legs.

I was one of the ones who purchased this statue as well. I actually love it overall, I do have the issue with the heads fitting loosely especially the unmasked one. It seems that the peg from the head is too narrow compared to the cavity and also the magnets are weak for the weight of the heads. The masked head fits better on him. Anyways, I did post a youtube video that I sent Sideshow, still waiting on their response. Other than that I like the statue and glad I got it and hope those waiting for it enjoy it as well. Check out the video to see what I mean.

It's like they did zero testing/QC on that part of the design.

Hey thanks for sharing your video. I think it’s too loose to keep like that. Over time it will get worse. Such a shame.

I doubt it, it definitely won't easily fit onto the correct position.

Remove the armour piece , without damaging it.
Modify it to sit in the correct position.
Fill the gap it left.
Paint to match the rest of the leg.
Add netting, which won't be their so the whole leg will probably need the netting removing and redone.

When we called 'Bobblehead' I wasn't expecting it to literally bounce around.

Yup, I'm definitely not the only one. Mine does the same. Just a tap to the back and he is instantly decapitated. REDICULOUS.

There is absolutely no way they can fix it without making everyone all new heads! Good time to repaint the top correctly for us as well.

For those of you who have loose heads, have you tried inserting a magnet between the contact points?

So I’ve been looking at pix of the SS and promo pix for my possible repaint attempt. I planned on using the helmet or I’d probably not consider it.

So I see the SS statue has a totally different texture to it likely making replicating the correct pattern impossible. It is very similar to trying to paint a straight paint line on a textured wall. It’s not possible.

While the SS statue has a more skin texture while the suit from the film is smoother and has a glossy jelly like look. I really think this makes it impossible to do the right paint.

Just a note. I did paint a straight line on a texture wall but to do it there’s a neat trick. You put tape on the wall the paint over it, then after it dries you pull the tape and retake over the painted area. The tape with the painted line blocks the paint from running into the texture. It is actually amazing that it works but unfortunately it cannot be applied here.

You may be better the fill in the texture on the statues head with epoxy if you want to replicated the pattern from the film.

I’ve attached close ups to show the issue. Kind of ruins my idea but if I see a broken head cheap on eBay I’ll attemp a fill and paint. Too bad SS makes you destroy parts or there may be some one day if they can fix the issue which they can’t.

Also have issues with the Head (unmasked) not fitting properly and no magnet.

Contacted SSC on that also.


Other then that its very nice. Paint apps on it are great. Surprised I like the Unmasked head as much as I do and the non exclusive hand looks better on display to my eyes. He looks more ready to kick ass.

Will post pics later.. Have to try and fix it so its presentable. Hope I get a replacement part.

hope you didn't tell them that. They won't give you a full replacement on that because you altered it.
