Guuuurl. That is some chunky eye makeup. :horror

It looks exactly like the eyelashes on some of the dolls I used to own as a kid. I mean, exactly.

I dunno. It's a decent piece, but I think I'm gonna pass.

Probably not the best pic to get a good idea of the eyes. Looking at some other pics and vids the face actually looks nicely done. Very clean eye work too. It does look like the difference in skin tone is there on all the pieces. Also, throw that cloth hanging down over her leg to the left of her! All the ones I’ve seen so far have it wrapped around her ankle lol

The thing I worry about is how the PVC head/hands will age over time compared with the polystone body. I worry about discoloration. Probably won't happen but you never know.

I watched one video. When they zoomed in on her face, the eye looked the same, so... I dunno. It's by no means an awful piece. It's definitely nice. Just not for me. I think the skin tone thing would bother me, too. I'll pay to have a statue face repainted, but the whole body? No.

I think I'll take a chance on this and see what I think of SS using PVC for head sculpts. I am curious.

It’ll be interesting to see if Sideshow is moving to PVC heads and hands moving forward. I do like the translucent look of it but still need to see in person.

The BB-8 I’m assuming is all plastic though aside from the base.

Is it confirmed it's actually PVC for the head?

And just curious, but what do Hot Toys use for their headsculpts? As I believe they're some sort of plastic and they have amazing detail and paint with an almost translucent resin look. But I don't get any of that from Reys headsculpt. Maybe I just have to see it in person. But the finer paint apps could be better on the head.

Sometimes I've wished we could just transplant Hot Toy heads directly to Sideshow polystone statues (No need for Prime 1 or Iron Studio pieces though).

Given how you switch on the lights by touch sensor it's probably all plastic, just like R2-D2.

I think I'll wait until my local store has a 30% (or more) sale on it.

My waitlist for the EX is going to convert on Friday. I'm not loving the plastic hands but I do like the overall look of this. What to do?

I got mine yesterday and LOVE it. Don't care what the material is they make the head, it wasn't noticeably different from my other PFs when I was putting it together and you certainly can't see the difference on the shelf. It's a beautiful, subtle piece.

Showed up today, absolutely love this one and hopefully we can get the next one before Ep 9 comes out as well haha.
