Getting back to the HT Empire Vader, don't you thing guys the codpiece is riding too high on him?
The crotch part of the pants shows too much. I hope it is just a futzing problem, but it could also be a design problem with the pants. That would be awful.
And then there is that helmet. I'd say it is way too big, almost ridiculously too big. Is it only me, or do any of you also think the same? Could it have to do with the dome being removable? I don't buy that, though. You can go smaller with today's technologies and yet make it removable. But if it is not that, then how come?

The figure is cool. All that has to light up, now does, and I hope accuracy problems have been solved, especially with the mask, body suit, cape and leg armours (the latter as per Michael Crawford). I hope to hear Vader academics in the room chiming in on this.

BUT, those crotch and helmet issues could ruin the show. Even worse, they could go onto ROTJ Vader.
I just can't get it: HT nailed proportions and aesthetics with their 2 previous Vader efforts..... How come they screw them now? OK RO Vader sported a ridiculous codpiece, but I think I read it was screen accurate...

that's what i've been saying .But in the pics there seems to be 2 domes. One is too big like you say, and the other one seems the right size but too short in the back, like it's not sitting on the head as it should. So I have no idea about how the final one will be

don't care about the pants and cod piece (as long as it's an improvement over Rogue One)

I don’t think the dome is too short in the back...I think that the whole head is sitting too high off the shoulders because HT gave the mask a shorter neck piece (which is more accurate) than the previous Vaders but still have it attached to a high neck post. Bring that neck down a bit and Vader’s helmet will look better.

If they fix widows peak and helm im pulling the po trigger, Vader is all about the mask & helmet, I can live with minor costume differences as long as its quality materials.

yeah ,looking at the pictures of the Vader on display at that show ..I think I can see a gap betwen the neck and chest, but the helmet is definately better than some of the official site pictures .The helmet flare is not too large there

also the windows peak is less important than getting the general shape and proportions correct

I didn't know about this pre-painted version either....until i found it at a car boot sale. As far as i know it was released in 1997...

I don’t think the dome/ helmet are any larger than their previous releases. Just my eye tho. Here’s my Vader btw since we’re sharing customs lol

Dome- Hasbro Titanium
Mask- Kaiyodo w/ resin tusks
Shoulder- rogue one repainted
Chest and belt boxes- kaiyodo
Belt and buckle hot toys anh
Gloves sideshow rotj
Body suit, shoes, shin armor Rogue One
Cape and tunic iforigno51

HT fixed the dome on the ANH vader before production...so i expect they'll do likewise with this version before release

Decided to get the ESB Darth Vader. Still plenty of time to forget about the cost of it and put the money together. I just want it. Got bitten by the Star Wars bug at 37 years of age. Better late than never.

I think that`s been the problem with all these vaders the helmet sculpt have been to over sized.

I would say they did change it.

I think there is more of an improvement on the helmet than in previous Vaders.

The head in that picture reminded me a lot of this picture, even if you always need to play a bit futzing and posing for it to look best.
