The head has always been a bit strange but wanted a tall Stormie with a human neck so this was pretty much a must have.

I agree. It doesn't have the wow factor of old man Solo or anakin but I still think it's solid. The old man Solo sculpt is the only near perfect ford sculpt I have seen. Although that Jnix sculpt Ton Ton has is pretty damn good.

Well to be fair, it looks pretty terrible in the non closeup shots too.

Wow, of course this is now the 'worst sculpt ever' since wonder woman is out. I would be afraid to have some of you over for dinner "Bleh! This is the worst -insert anything here- ever!"

I think it looks OK.

Fact you can make this a trooper and that display is worth it alone. Having Han sculpt is just a bonus.

I just need another Stormtrooper, but the sculpt is not a homerun. I hope I can sell it and the stand to make the price a bit more to my liking.

I will probable keep the custom I have of the tall trooper with the human neck and use the extra ANH Han sculpt.

I never did get a HT stormie, so I figured it was a good opportunity to get one this way. But my focus is on Han, so I would have gotten this figure no matter what.

That was my thought as well, however wasn't sure if that helmet is an ANH helmet with the latest pics.

It was a brave move by hot toys to attempt this kind of sculpt.
However it's backfired and turned out a turd.

That's exactly how I'm looking at it. I need an ANH trooper, so I figure the Han Sculpt is like a exclusive accessory for a previously released figure.
In the vid, I don't think the head sculpt looks that bad. I figure it's on par with the original sculpt, but with better hair, and an actual expression/emotion.

Just goes to show that likeness is always in the eye of the beholder because the side by side of Swayze and Solo figure could not look LESS alike to me...

I think left side of his face looks like Ford. It’s the right side(smirk) that is off. Needs to be asymmetrical. That’s where HT misses Ford other than old Solo.

I'm wondering which helmet and armour they have given him. The pic with Chewie looks like the Rogue One Storm Trooper. Which wouldn't make sense with the Luke version.

Needs to be the ANH trooper helmet and armour.

It IS the New Hope Stormtrooper armor - you can tell by the lower leg/ankle armor and the slight depression on the inside left bicep armor.

The Rogue One armor doesn't "taper off" as fluidly as the original Stormtrooper armor.

My question is what height is this compared to the Hot Toys original New Hope troopers? Is it taller or same height? I know Luke is shorter.

Man this is approaching ANH Farmboy Luke bad. The smirky smile is just stupid and the face is way to round. If the chin scar was missing I would not know who this was in a lineup.

Well, at least I'll get my 30th ANH stormtrooper out of it and the light up base. So that is two positives.
