Can't wait. Sweet dreams.

Haha, cheers! I actually just managed to cobble together an unboxing video out of the footage that I took while setting it up. I thought the footage would be too dark, but it actually turned out ok. It's rendering right now and then I'll start uploading it. But it's nearly midnight here, and a four minute video will take about 5 hours to upload on my crappy Aussie internet. So I'll hit the publish button as soon as I wake up. See you guys tomorrow!

VERY disappointed to hear it won't fit in the Besta with the saber! I guess the dimensions were inaccurate.

damn this thing sucks batteries dry fast. I tested the lights for ~4 hours over the past 2 days and just noticed the saber is dimming at the tip. Guess I won't be leaving this on for extended periods of time LOL!

BTW where's the switch for the belt lights?

EDIT: found it, but terrible placement of the switch, can't get to it without removing belt. The switch on the chest plate is also in a bad spot, can't get to it when the saber pose is displayed.

Ugh..more bad news.

Saber pose with no saber is weird. Lol

yeah..what the heck!? Saber pose without a saber!? That won't work and I only have 1 space for this guy, in a Besta. This unfortunately may have to go back for me. Sucks.

So if you bring him all the way to right front (touching front and side) and turn him at 45 degrees so the saber goes to the back left corner it won't fit? I may have to do some Besta modding for this. Having an invisible light saber won't work for me.

I don't have a Besta cabinet, but I'd probably drill a hole in the side & stick the saber through it (if it'd be safe & not get bumped). That way it'd look like the saber cut a hole in it.

Agreed.. I am just venting because now I don't have anywhere to put it. Damn ginormous bases....lol

Oh wow, this piece is truly amazing. Such a presence! Seems to me to be perfection in every way, I haven't found a single flaw on it. The cape will need quite some work before I'm satisfied though, part of the reason why I don't love fabric capes but I think it looks good. Paint looks spot on, switch-out parts well done, quite heavy, lights works great for me so far (didn't even open the batteries it came with). But yeah, he is a bit bigger than I even thought. Displaying in a Besta with doors isn't really an option. But he can be displayed in a Besta without doors, with just a little bit of him outside (not much but not recommended if you have kids or animal that can hurt it).

In my opinion, without any doubt the best Vader statue so far. And with it being ESB and action pose, personally I don't think anyone will beat this, at least not for a long, long time. If you are on the fence and have the money and space for it, get it now. No doubt, this will be much higher in aftermarket prices once it's sold out. With today's prices the price tag is actually good as well, it's huge and there's many display options.

I will try to add some photos for anyone on the fence or interested (sorry, not much of a photographer and not the best light to work with).

If someone wants to order and doesn't have any codes, I got this with it, don't know if it'll work on this piece but anyone can try or use it on something else cause I don't need it: FALL17UGYZUDUL

I put him on top of my besta. Looks great but it’s high up lol. I may buy the smaller besta that houses two shelves vertically.

Thanks for the pics....without the saber and one of the normal left arms, could you possibly rotate him to where he is pointing to the left and maybe squeeze him in? maybe turn him 45 degress?

Thank you SO much!!! Great (awesome) job by covering so many questions!!!
Looks like I'm screwed with my Besta+Tombo setup for this... :(

Seeing that booklet from IS, I can't believe no one from IS/SSC was able to answer us about the REAL dimensions of this... it's clearly written there!

Or as I thought about doing with my Kylo Ren...cut a box out of back of Besta so you can slide him further back to wall...maybe gain about an inch. Looks like this guy is going to be on a 12" floating shelf (very well supported) with Boba....out in the open unprotected, but at least he has his own spotlight!

Too bad battery door on bottom. have to disassemble this beast every time you want to put in new batts. But I guess without the saber the only light powered by the AA batts is the spotlight.

This guys is looking phenomenal. That said, I am still a little disappointed IS never addressed the unnatural single hand saber grip pose. That saber should either be angled forward or more towards 45 degrees. Thankfully it isn't enough to dissuade my from my purchase. Just hope someone comes along with a good mod or sculpt addon.

I haven’t tried and can’t right now, but if you’re thinking of squeezing him in with doors, I doubt it. He is already so far out on the base and the other arms points out even more. If it actually works the display angle will be terrible..

Thanks for the great pics you all. My only gripe is how "thick" the cape is. Vaders cape never looked so "big" in the films. Any ideas on how to make it look thinner?
