Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

Took the plunge and used a bunch of reward points to get the Universal Monsters bundle. Averaged out to be about $20 per print after the rewards points. The balance was less than the NRD so I actually have a negative balance on the order:lol

Oh man those universal prints done so well are so beautiful. I thought they were going to be sold individually but it does make more sense to sell the whole batch by set.

:lol :lol :lol Congrats on getting that set, it's awesome! :duff

Thanks, I’m quite thrilled with them. The Universal Monsters is what first introduced me to Sideshow with their first 1:6 Frankenstein. Always loved the monsters and all 8 of these prints are just beautiful. I’d been saving those points for something special and this was it. I’d never have been able to afford them otherwise. Selling them as a set is both smart and dumb. I’d assume they’ll all have matching numbers so that is cool, but having them sold together makes for an incredibly high sticker shock. Plus with an edition of only 100 and that exclusive Mash print, these were just too cool to pass up.

Yup, had them in my cart then didn’t, then in my cart, then back out numerous times. I know I’ll refret not picking them up.

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

I really wish SS could of done 1 universal monster at a time instead throwing them all out there at the same time to buy. That way it wouldn't have been such a strain in our pockets. But I guess they know what they're doing, cause all 100 sold out. :lol

Yeah, one a month would have been nice to space out the price because even the flex pay was only 2 $500 payments. They have items that retail for $500 that offer flex pay! :lol Really surprised they sold out so fast! Makes me feel like i made the right call snagging them when i could instead of seeing it rotting in the discount section.
I wonder how they'll ship those

I do too. I imagine they really could stuff them all in one tube since they are a set. I’d prefer individual tubes shipped in a larger box for maximum protection and easier replacements (hopefully not needed).

For the price, this set should have come in a protective folder and been shipped flat. I would be infuriated if they shipped all 8 prints rolled together in a single tube. 8 prints rolled together in a single tube...well, I can pretty much guarantee there is going to be some permanent stretching of the paper fibers if they are kept in this tube too long.

I will admit, this is one stunning set of prints and I would have purchased this in a heartbeat a couple weeks back. Thankfully, I recently threw in the tower for limited edition digital giclee prints as the market has just become absolutely flooded. From here on out I will only collect limited edition's that are made from original prints.

Tube isn't recommended...most I've ever had shipped together in one was 3 prints, those might ship flat in a box

Re: Sideshow Announcing new Premium Art Prints collection

I wonder how much shipping for this entire set will be, cause my shipping for 1 single print of Olivia's WW print was $20. This might get a really good shipping deal cause it's 8 plus 1 bonus.

The good news about shipping flat is adding additional prints don't add much to the overall shipping as the only thing that changes is overall weight. And the weight of 18x24 prints is pretty minimal. It might add a few bucks more. If they wind up shipping them in separate tubes, which would be utterly moronic, it would wind up costing significantly more. If there was ever a release from Sideshow's premium print line that needed flat shipping, its this set. If they go any other route then Sideshow really has no clue what thier doing regarding shipping prints.

Yeah if all shipped separately in tubes, it would cost the collector a very steep price. Flat is the only way to save money for the collector.
