About-ish. I think you're right. :lol I can't remember.

Man, it sucks, but nowadays, your best bet is saving up and having custom shelves made.

Bestas are around 15 deep on the bottom shelf and the middle and top ones are 13.5. They're 22 inches wide.

Go with the Pax system, great DIYs out there and so much cheaper than custom cabinets.

My big concern with Pax and any system for that matter is just the alarming variance in size of some of the current and upcoming pieces from Prime and XM. I just don't think there's anything out there that will accommodate a collection as well as customized display. And while it may be a bit more, I think it's worth it in the long run. But then again, depends on who you ask. I can see both sides of the coin.

I'm getting ready to sell some of my Bestas to be honest though - trying to get back what little I can - and will likely reinvest in more custom displays.

Just when I thought I'd never get another 1:4 Wolverine. This looks really, really good. I'll probably PO this and sell my Comiquette, XM and maybe the PF EX.

Yup... taking so much space the statue now. Besta could fit Gambit and Rogue in one box. No way you can do that with the new statues out

I'm curious what the collection of all the Debbie downers in here looks like.

Probably like this...

I priced custom cabinets and it was outrageous LOL! But IMO the pax is perfect: 38" wide and 23" deep and full adjustable height. I have 8 of these cabinets and they are excellent if you follow the DIY and add supports for the shelves. Here's a pic of a few of my cabinets, you can see the mix of sizes:

and here's the DIY I followed, it's excellent and detailed:

I always worry with IKEA shelves, the glue wood board, especially over time and with moisture, the last thing you want are these increasingly heavier statues sitting on that. You can just go to your local Home Depot and they have books on basic stuff like shelf building. You can build it out of solid wood and rest assured that it will hold up over time. I built mine out of oak for about $60.

I agree 100% with your concerns, but take a look at the DIY. The metal support pins along with the metal braces on the front and back of the shelves eliminates those worries. I've got >60lbs on a few of those shelves for over a year without any bowing.

in any case, I'm just sharing an option that's worked for me.

I was watching this short Radd Titan video on this piece and he mentioned in speaking with Susan that she hinted at more characters in this line. Would love to see more sentinel base X-Men to go with this. Really need a Cable in my collection.

Couldn't really imagine them stopping at 2 characters.

Hopefully the ones the DO decide to put in the lines are good ones.
