Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

Would be nice to see these Ghostbusters standing next to another figure, just for height comparison.

Great review I AM TOYS, any fears i had have been abandoned, really buzzin for this.

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

Great review. Loving the figures so far. I definitely take issue with Slimer. lol No doubt he was made generic and looks more like the new gb slimer than anything. Not to toot my own horn but I put a lot of research into mine. He's not a translucent gimmick but he is accurate. Can't wait to pose venkman with my slimer.

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

Tis a shame what happened to Winston. With the short shrift he'd been given by collectors, it's really a shame that he turned out to have the problematic paint apps.

It's not even the skintone, it's the eyes as well. They don't even look white enough, they look glazed over, almost like zombie eyes.

With all the delays, I have a hard time understanding why the decision makers at Blitzway looked at that and said "Yes".

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

I thought Winston's head looked small in the NYCC photos.

But it seems like he does have a smaller head compared to the others, unless it's an optical illusion:

But Blitzway's paint choice...

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

The group image does match the size of Winston's sculpt. His head there kind of looks like it just sort of sinks down into the flight suit and you can't really see his neck, which is how the figure looks.

White dudes seem on par with Durden, which is what I was expecting. Obviously not as nice as the protos, but that wasn't the case with Durden, either. Winston, though. . .I hope the head doesn't seem as small in person. Maybe putting a dull coat on will make it less glaring. Or exposing his neck a bit as it looked in the solicitation pics.

Funny that my Rocco Winston sculpt is too large, and this one is too small.

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

If they're doing a second run does that mean the paint jobs will be improved?

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

Yeah I agree, Venkman and Zeddmore look like the weaker of the 4, but still pretty darn good. Venkman looks like a really bloated and fat Murray. However... I think if you try to extend the neck by pulling it out and not pushing it back in all the way through... it might be better. Compared to the proto pics, the neck seems shorter. Egon and Ray look amazing. Light up packs are also very cool. Can't wait to receive my 4 pack !

I Am Toys pics and video made me feel a bit better about Venkman. Still a slight disappointment as this is the only shot for "the" 1/6 Venkman (unless Soldier Story comes through and pulls off a miracle,) but still an amazingly realistic head that has a decent enough dose of Murray. Posed with the walkie-talkie just partly over the face and it'll look 100%

But I Am Toys also convinced me to try to grab Ray - which I hadn't planned on getting at all. It just looks too good and do like his goggles look a lot.

Aykroyd must be super happy with that - after the travails of the reboot, it must be a nice surprise (given his love of GB.) To me, Ray's the real stand-out of this set.

And it's okay for Winston to be sweaty too...

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

Thanks for the review, I Am Toys! Winston's sculpt looks much better in the video. Thank God! His head is perhaps a little small compared to the rest. I'll wait to see how he looks in hand and how a coat of matte paint turns out (for those brave enough to do it) before I dare add any matte myself. Overall, they look freakin' great. Ray is stellar. Proton packs are amazing. I'm no great futzer or poser but even I wanted to reach into the Toy Ark photos and futz. Good to have a second look here with some well posed figs!

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

Wait yeah Kuat is right ... Winston does kinda have a smaller lookin' head in real life. The things we learn ...
