Shipping in less than a week and no production photos.....makes me wonder if they are trying to hide a bad paint job to sell some more before they get to the public..

I would give them a call and let them know that you're aware that others have received the email.

The last time this happened to me (with Prototypez Studios just last month) I noticed everyone getting the shipping now email, except me. I was among the first to preorder too. But I didn't want to be that demanding/annoying customer that irritate sellers. So I decided to continue to patiently wait.

I received both pieces 2 months after everyone else. As it turned out, my statues would have never been shipped if I didn't contact them.

I ordered it 08/03/2016. I can't remember if that was Day 1 or not--it had to have been close to it though. I may give them a call just to see where my order stands.

$100 shipping to the UK

Bloody ridiculous - $80 to travel a few inches up the coast, and only an extra $20 to fly across an ocean.

. . . and they wonder why those of us in Canada get pissed off with them

Not that I'm saying YOUR cost should be more - just that OURS should be less.

Yeah, call them for sure. You're not being a bother if you're just checking up.

And I agree that $80 shipping to Canada is high, but isn't it expensive because of the customs charges? I don't know....just heard that before.

Nothing to do with customs - that's the basic shipping charge via FedEx or DHL.

Customs fees and taxes are charged on top of that on delivery.

Maybe the box is much bigger than you guys think? Those are high rates for sure

After what we paid for the CoolProps 1:1 Predator 2 bust, I was expecting about $120 for this.

So (in all honesty) $80 was actually a VERY pleasant surprise.

HOWEVER . . . I STILL think this "dimensional shipping" thing that FedEx/UPS/DHL etc. NOW use is a total rip-off.

Ouch! On a 1:2 Bust. (I thought it might be worse though)

Yep, not good. I really miss the good old days...

Spike, if it makes you feel better and removing the relativity aspect, this price is more than double what we would have paid for even much lager statues not so long ago. We're all being shafted on shipping prices sadly.

we have to add customs to that plus another £8.50 for them to deliver from customs:mad:

Yep, it sucks. You can however avoid that £10 or so clearance fee by signing up for a free Fed ex account. Just give your account number to sideshow and your VAT will be taken out at the time of shipping and you won't have to pay the fee for it...

How would that make me feel better Bro' ? :)

Not sure on the "more than double" bit either - $40 was the standard shipping price for a LONG time based on my records?

I'd like to buy a lager statue though - that sounds very refreshing :)

To be fair to Sideshow, I DO NOT think they are to blame for price gouging (on the shipping anyways :lol ) - pretty sure it's down to the carriers.
