Yeah, as I said before the chair is a bit weird without part of the table because you want to cross his legs.

My guess is they look at the fig and said - "old semi-obscure SW dude in a basic uniform" - and couldn't think of what else to pad him up to $230 with.

Yeah, no one will use it, but it is going to be a cool thing to have - and it looks to be in correct 1/6 scale as opposed to teeny-tiny mouse droids, interrogation droids and Yoda lamps.
