What new STAR WARS HOT TOYS 1/6 & 1/4 Figures will we see at SDCC 17...?

The problme with Jabba is that I already have one and while I'm happy to live with two Scouts, two Snowies, 5-6 Stormies, many Vaders...I really don't need two huge croissant shaped space slugs.

. I hear you on that. But I never got the SS version and the prices on eBay now are nuts. I think they could do a better job with him too as long as they don't use ED-209 rubber.

Would love to see the Dewback reissued too. I wonder if they could make it more poseable and less of a statue.

It's highly unlikely that we will see anything like Jabba from HT. They manufacture to their core market first, and lets face it, we were all impressionable children when we fell in love with Jabba, however, the Chinese were not. They have way less affinity toward the character and therefore less interest. All that equals no interest from HT for him or any other aliens. Robots and core characters first, the occasional DST which hasn't seen release, and that's their MO.

Eh, Jabba is one of the biggest characters (no pun intended) in the trilogy. I can't see how they pass up the opportunity to make him. The Chinese love Tarkin but don't love Jabba? I think the reveal of characters like the Death Star Gunner and Tarkin indicate they're planning to go deeper than most of us thought.

If any alien is to come out from Hot Toys I would guess at either Greedo or Ackbar.

Also, space is a premium for a lot of collectors in the Asian market.

Back to SDCC, does anyone remember how many SW figures went up for PO at SDCC last year? I am guessing there will be no HT show exclusive for SW this year as it would be announced by now...

Yoda is obviously in there, but that's a different league than putting out a Jabba. I just think that HT has had the license for 3 years now (announced in July 2014) and they've already revealed or released how many OT figures--20? Curious how many OT figures Sideshow released/revealed within those first 3 years. You have to think they'll do a Tusken Raider and Greedo at the very least. Probably waiting on the Han Solo movie for Greedo.

While im pretty much a Hot Toys Star Wars only collector. I've gotta say that Doctor Strange figure is pretty damn good. The costume and sculpt is outstanding.
