Love the figure. I misspeak towards the end of the video when talking about extending the leg 90 degrees, I mean "bend" 90 degrees. Who knows where the hell else I misspoke. It's been a long day. Lol.

Great review as always, dude.

This figure really looks awesome. Like you said, it seems like this is a figure where you either love it or your hate it. I'm the former, so I can't wait to receive mine in about a month.

If you mentioned it in your review I must have missed it, but is the shield die-cast?

Thanks man. No it's not diecast unfortunately. That would have been a nice touch though. I was going to post a video on how to put on the shield, as far as hanging it on her back, but it looks like Dean already did it. So anybody looking for that, just check out his video.

Of course. :duff

Yeah, I just saw in Dean's review that it's plastic. Not a big deal, but indeed a bit disappointing. I was hoping for a die-cast one after the Cap shields being die-cast.

Perhaps some company will fabricate an after market die-cast shield for this figure, similar to how they do with Cap figures. Provided it's not too heavy, I'd probably get one.

I don't think I've ever seen Dean that confused in a review. :lol

Like the Armoured Batman, but for different reasons, she's basically a statue with some very limited articulation. As a museum poser I can live with that as long as she looks great and she does. Cant wait to get her in my cabinet with Bats and Supes.

Anyone wanting dynamic poses it's best just avoid, sounds like this figure would frustrate the hell out of you. Maybe HT can work out some of the issues for later releases but unless they go for exposed joints I don't think a WW figure will ever have great articulation.

Yeah, even though Hot Toys really accomplished something special with this figure, they also created quite a conundrum in handling her as well, but that's what seamless bodies are all about. Total fun. Lol.

With all that said, still a fan of the figure though.

I'm happy to accept the limitations of the technology right now and just appreciate the figure for what it is...when she gets here that is. :lol

Did you do anything with the hair? It looks so good in your video compared to the others I've so far. Maybe just the lighting.

I didn't add anything extra. The hair already comes with a fixative in it. However some folks are really good at manipulating it further. I just really pushed it, pulled it, and twisted it, to get it to curl the way I wanted. Lol.

I never intended to pose her in more than a realistic type standing at-the-ready pose, but would be nice if there was an option to maybe get a less seamless version for posing options. You know, like a deluxe and non-deluxe, except this would be a whole other ballgame.

Same goes for Harley. Would have definitely chosen the originally designed body for that purchase, lol.

Well , very reluctantly, I'm now 99% decided that I'm selling it on. My brother says he'll take it off my hands as he has one on order through forbidden planet and can cancel his and take mine instead.

I'm thinking of going back and using the money from this ti pick up a figure that I have always wanted but couldn't pick up at the time, Hot Toys Christopher Reeve Superman (MMS152).

I just can't afford to fund Hot Toys developments and experiments and each successive picture and YouTube video has only further convinced me that this figure is going to have a very, very short lifespan.

ŔMaybe I'll pick up a Wonder Woman somewhere down the line when they have made substantial improvements to this body.

Absolutely gutted to not be getting the Wonder Woman figure that I really wanted, but there is fragile, there's REALLY fragile, and then there is this. Too risky for me and to be honest, absolutely no fun. I like to tinker with my 1/6 figures and this is going to have to be a glorified statue. That's just not my thing.

U mean for a female character?.

Sorry, I was being sarcastic. It's hard to detect when typed, my fault.

I think the figure is great. I'm going to find a pose that doesn't crease and leave it that way. If you cross her arms or have her leaping, just keep her in that pose and it'll be ok.

It's just a toy, if you think it's too much money to not be perfect and indestructible then I fear you are in the wrong hobby. These are for people with disposeable income who never grew up.

When the body breaks down on mine I'll just replace the body. If it's too difficult to do that I'll buy the next one. Everything is going to be ok. :)

And queue the Wonder Woman theme music. [emoji91]

Just discovered your reviews on Youtube.

Like your videos, keep it up!

That's usually my thinking as well.

What if something happens to the sculpt? What if something happens to the shirt? What if something happens to the body?

Buy a new one/replacement. Part that is.

When I receive mine, I going to display in on a generic oval base (like 90% of my other figures). For those who have this figure already, do you think it'd be more ideal to use the generic crotch grabber or waist grabber stand?

I've only been doing Hot Toys a short time (statues for much longer), but it is totally their aesthetic, specifically the realism in the head sculpt and paint applications, that drew me in in the first place. I don't have a single statue (nor can I recall any) that come close to what Hot Toys can do with their portraits.

:exactly:

Same here, the head sculpts are what initially drew me into Hot Toys (and eventually other 1:6 figures). The likeness to the original actors are for the most part, pretty spot on.

Although there are a few statues that have quite spectacular head sculpts too - the 1:4 statues of Rocky 2 and Marilyn Monroe (from Blitzway) come to mind. I believe they were done by K.A. Kim, who used to work for Hot Toys if I'm not mistaken.

More or less but they did change things, noticeably the mouth shape and Jawline and the eyes look bigger and are angular.

I was watching the comedy Keeping Up With The Joneses earlier this week and noticed Gal Gadot has some really expressive eyebrows.

The new head sculpt does a better job of emphasizing the eyebrows.

Didn't I Am Toys say the crotch grabber won't work because of the skirt in his review? The C clamp will probably leave marks on the armour. Maybe the less agressive waist grabber that Marty came with would be best.

Yeah, I definitely wouldn't use a crotch grabber, that is why they provided the hip hugger instead. You could definitely damage the skirt portion of her armor.
