Add me to the list of BBTS charged individuals. Love the fact that they now ship everything for $4, no matter how big your shipment is! Makes me want to ship it now instead of waiting for more stuff to come in!

But guys, don't some of you see how SSC is literally STEALING from you on shipping charges? $20 for drax? And $4 at BBTS for ANYTHING?

Anyway,

Only Michaelangelo is left, can't stress enough what a wonderful labor of LOVE NECA did here. Some QC issues aside, these are winners guys. I'll say it again. HT would be charging close to $500 for one of these, and those prime1 ones? Lol .

I personally think these are amazing times for collecting stuff, we are so spoiled!

Has anyone taken the elbow and knee pads off yet?

It seems like you could get way more articulation range (my only gripe with these). I am hoping to buy an extra fig and try to razor it off but I kinda want to see if anyone is making fabric pads for sale first.

This! That $50 off code I got seems nice, but really it's just my last two 1/6 scale figs of shipping overage that sideshow pilfers:mad:

What BBTS is doing is pretty incredible. I don't understand how SS is charging twenty a box when I can ship that same box for ten if and when I sell a figure. A lot of people complain but I haven't seen it do any good.

The SDCC Exclusives sold out in less then 5 secs. SMH did they only put 1 up for preorder lol.

What was the exclusive?

it's easy my man... they are overcharging and laughing all the way to the bank because they know they can get away with it and people will still pay it. and when i say over charging it is grossly over charging. as in drax... they claim it weighs 5lbs... my actual in the shipping box measurement right off my front porch in a soaking wet box is 3.5 lbs. they've added roughly 43% to the shipping weight!! but no... SS never rips people off on shipping or anything? :slap

That would do it. At nearly double the weight they can double the charge. I'm just wondering if they go by whatever hot toys estimated weight is and never confirm it before shipping out. Either way they would have to be aware they are overcharging.

I think he's referring to the SDCC 2017 exclusive cartoon Turtles on the Neca Store.

I've never been to SDCC, but another member said there'd be plenty of them at the NECA booth. Hopefully if you get there early, you won't have any problem getting a set.

no they do it because they know they got you by the proverbial short ones...
when you place an order, now you typically pay an NDR... you don't get shipping quotes... they tell you to contact them at a later date to get it. low and behold somewhere WAY down the line you get some bs est of weight. now, the fun part... the charge isn't processed until product is in hand typically... which means they have the box and "CAN" charge you an ACTUAL shipping charge, but instead it's fluffed. almost every time like clockwork. BUT if you get pissed and go to cancel, bye-bye to your NDR. it's a win-win for them. i've gotten grief from a few because of my distaste for what i refer to as a scam or theft. not sure why people are so fine with it?? it's odd... you go to get a 10 oz steak, they bring you a 6oz... you say something or make a stink. you go to buy a tv for $300 on sale and they try to charge you $400... you do something about it. have NO clue why folks continue to act like this isn't theft and ss is deserving of taking more than advertised because they have to ship something? shipping and storage and all that bs is all built into their costs. shipping should be exact shipping, down to the penny... not a way to skim money off the top. so just best to buy from other places that don't do this as often as you can in my book.

BTW, I guess thinking that TRU will carry these 1/4 Turtles might not be a lock.

Went to my TRU yesterday in which I saw Raph and Don last week , now completely sold out. They even took off the Turtle price tag on the shelf :thud:

I guess these will show up sporadically at the TRUs instead

So I guess online is still the best way to get these :slap

I've only ever purchased three figures with them and one is on it's way back. The rest of my collection has been bought through the board or other online stores.

You'll always get those SSC enablers, that justify their piss poor QC and their shipping practices and the fact that they can get away with anything.

Have you tried emailing them with your findings regarding that weight discrepancy?
