I scored one of these figures for $150 on eBay this past Thursday. I am so happy I did now.

Beautiful photo and a lovely tribute. I'm not surprised, albeit a bit saddened to see so many people taking advantage of these circumstances to turn a profit, but it's the way things are, unfortunately. I'm just so grateful that I got to meet him before he passed. The world has lost a wonderful human being.

Really is one of HT's most underrated figs, I know some came with the dodgy Bat Logo on the chest but all in all its a great fig with some of the best box art of any HT release.

The 1966 Batman and Robin set are among HT's finest figures, from costume to sculpts.

They were a personal favorite and I never thought that one day I'd have to sell them and Reeve Superman, but that day came yesterday as I had to help fund an emergency need. As I returned them to their respective boxes, it was to Adam whom I said "goodbye", feeling reluctant but I had to carry on to the deal.

As I got home from the transaction with the buyer, I was greeted by the whole online world saying their farewells to Mr. West. I lost a beloved figure. The world lost a beloved icon.

What a sad day :(

Whenever a celebrity passes away the prices of their march goes up. Same thing happened when MJ passed. It was a sad sad day today. I remember watching all the reruns when I was a kid. I had the Batman, Robin, Green Hornet and Kato episode on VHS. Wish I could find it today.

Sad to say but it's true. Leia was readily available but her passing came and the price shot up. Sounds mean to say but its the reason I picked up a Stan Lee a little while back because I know he's 94 and when he passes the price on his unique figure is going to be through the roof.

look on Ebay how many HT 66 Batman figures sold today- these are climbing in price and people want them (beyond the timing of what happened today) yet they were sales duds in HT's eyes

The '66 series was my first exposure to Batman, and in a sense that's still who Batman is to me. I remember the first time I read a Batman comic as a kid I thought "Whoa -- this is serious!" -- the next iconic Bats for me was Keaton's. I enjoyed Nolan's Batman but maybe I got too old or something, but he hasn't resonated with me as much. Have yet to see Batfleck in a film I enjoyed, so the jury's out on that but I do like him.

Adam West is like Roger Moore as Bond or Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia, Hamill as Skywalker etc. -- they *are* the character in my mind, based on childhood.

The Grim Reaper managed to do what many villains failed to do over 120 episodes : kill Batman

I wonder who's gonna warn Jack , though.......it's not like he can warn himself or maybe he can :monkey4

I got the figure(and Robin too) a couple of months or so ago. Smart Decision. Both are great.

As for Mr. West, I feel like, I as a person, wouldn't be the same if he hadn't played Batman. I feel like all of my interests in superheroes(and I LOVE them) comes back to him in one way or another. Beyond that, he seemed like an incredibly friendly and kind hearted guy. RIP.
