Neca 1/4 scale Batman Begins Batman

At the moment I can afford to buy every hot toys or enterbay figure I want. But I won't. No figure is worth 250 or even more to me. If it's really really great maybe I will go to 175 euro. But that's it. That being said, I mostly have Neca stuff and only bought one hot toys which I sold 2 weeks later. Those prices are not for me. I love Neca. They make me feel good . It's not just about if you can afford it. Some people just don't want to pay those prices.

Changed up a lot of my 1/4 Batman poses, and was especially satisfied with my Dark Knight shelf. Shining a bright white light on them actual looks really great (it's just a lamp). I think I'm going to try to getting some permanent lighting for my display now...

Possibly I'm hoping for the Dark Knight Batman and Returns Batman next year since this year is pretty dry in regards to Batman. (I don't count Catwoman or Penguin cause those were revealed at SDCC or before last year...)

Well, I didn't think I'd buy this but I found it for $75 the other day, so I gave it a try and am I glad I did! I knew it was a good action figure for having watched a bunch of reviews but I was far from thinking it was THAT good!

It is stunning in person. My best surprise is with the belt. I thought it looked orange and plastic-y in the pics and videos but IRL its a nice shiny gold/copper color.

My only complaint is that it's dreadfull posing it. It's so stiff. And the hips squeak so much I feel like they will break each time I move them.

Anyway, I am really happy, since I was so bumed having sold my Enterbay Bats a while ago.

Here are a couple of crappy pics, I'll try to take better ones when I have more time.

My favorite suit too. That said, now that I have this figure in hand, I do hope Neca will also tackle the TDK suit in the near future!

I don't think so. The sculpt seems to be different in every parts. Gauntlets are more "curvy" and tight-fitting, boots are narrower, even the shape of the torso is different and the headsculpt/cowl also.

(Funny thing is both figures are actually accurate to different reference pictures, as if there had been several suits used for the movie and promo shots.)

I added some wires to the cape. Not great but adds to the display options and removable with no damage done anyway







While doing that, I noticed one side of the cape was not sewn down to the bottom. No big deal but weird, since it looks quite finished.

Care to share the details of putting wire in the cape? Your process, what kind of wire, etc.? I may be interested in adding some to my Bats.

Sure! It's super easy I used some copper wire. Roll reads "0.9 mm".



Then, only thing you really have to do is slide it carefuly in the hems of the cape (they are not sealed at the bottom) all the way up to the cape connectors at the top and voila! Cut the wire a bit shorter than the cape so that it doesn't show at the bottom and it'll stay in there by itself.

I actually managed to get a cool wing spread with the help of the arm.

Well, quite. The walking stance looks a bit off and is hard to balance without a stand (I wouldn't leave it as is on the shelf) but the cape shapes fine. Here is a quick try:
