The thing that is upsetting is all of these people trusted him. He had the respect of people we admire. He had a seemingly good job, a good life. He has beautiful kids and a cute dog... Why would you mess that up? It has to be a sickness. I mean, what makes a person screw over their friends, their kids, and his family name like that. He's done in his career. But those kids. It's going to be hard. I can't stop thinking about them.

So disappointing.

For a guy who knocked people for being stupid on the daily (I finally unfollowed him as a friend because of that), he sure pulled off some stupid ****.

But those kids. The bullying and the things that will be said about their father. And they are children... this is very damaging to a young person's self esteem/confidence. This is the kind of stuff that rocks a person to their core. They are innocent in all of this, but because of their father's actions, they will unfortunately have to deal with that fall out.

Spoken with him several times. Nearly did a fairly big deal a couple years back, but never did fully come to an agreement, so we parted ways. Looking back as this story comes out, a lot of it makes sense. I don't know anything about his kids, but they will be affected and that's too bad. They really had no say in the matter. Drug into this by some very bad decisions made by their dad.

Right and they are the biggest victims in all of this. That can't be repeated enough. Kids are precious. His selfishness and ignorance burned not only his friends, his life and future, but his children will have to live with this for the rest of their lives... and they shouldn't have to. I know I have carried a lot of my dad's crap with me, and he didn't commit grand larceny. I hope they have strong supports around them and they themselves get through this.

I just saw that it said Carl stole $3000 from the R2 Club and then blamed someone else who then got ostracized by the club!!! That is low

I forgot he PM'd me about that too! I turned him down as well.

I already commented on all this before when the news first came out, but I also think it must have been some dire circumstances for him to pretty much ruin his life and his kids' lives just for a little bit of money. To steal from such high profile people seems so reckless.

I never had a problem with him, and I actually always thought of him as being one of the level-headed ones on the forum.

"In most cases, the offense of grand theft in California is a wobbler. This means that the prosecutor may choose to charge you with either misdemeanor or felony grand theft.

The maximum potential sentence for misdemeanor grand theft is up to one (1) year in county jail.

For felony grand theft, you may be sentenced to sixteen (16) months, two (2) years, or three (3) years of incarceration."

I got the above from a law site. To further bad news.....dirtbag might only get hit with only one count of Grand Theft. for each person he stole from. It goes like this: If he was stealing slowly from say Ranch Obiwon, it doesnt matter if its $1,000 or $100,000 total, the defense can claim it was part of an 'overall scheme' to steal from that person. Now if the DA can prove he did this to three people, then he will get hit with three charges for grand theft. The 'overall scheme' is the language thats the barrier to sending him away for years.

It gets worse. With the current overcrowding in California jails, and non violent nature of his crimes, there is a good chance he will never see the inside of a jail cell and be put on probation with restitution.

So while Carl may not see the inside of a jail cell - his life as far as our communities is over. I'm sure companies will shy away from him as well given how much national coverage this is getting and that he is named specifically.

So I recently decided to grab one of these giant Hero Series X-Wings that was released awhile back, figuring they will never make a 6" scale one in the black series. I hated the solid big chunk of plastic color it had so I painted it up a bit to look more realistic. Turned out pretty good!

It's a pretty close scale for the 6" Pilot Luke as well.

Oh man! Just found something I've been on the hunt for, for a very, very, very long time. Can't wait to finally add this piece to the collection. A very under-appreciated "thing" in the SW universe and something I've wanted ever since I knew it existed. It's finally coming home. Will share more once I have pics.
