WB will shift to the "Wonder Woman" strategy past this film. I think the Batman film will take notes from this, the next Superman film will also and I wouldn't be shocked if they try to jigsaw pieces of Justice League to have this same tone. I think that you'll see the next few DCEU films come into their own and while MoS and BvS as well as SS had their flaws, the characters are introduced and it leaves them the ability not to go origin and just go for a story. I wouldn't be shocked if the films that need origins that aren't done yet (although JL seems to be a Cyborg origin film as well) will use Jenkins as producer.

That may be, but I suspect their focus will be less on injecting lots of "cute and fun" moments into those movies, than on making sure the stories and characters work as well as they do in WW. And that they have the same kind of genuine emotion and thrills as that movie apparently does.

At least that's what I'm really hoping they take away from this anyway.

What a wonderful movie Wonder Woman is. I still love the ultimate cut of BvS but no doubt this is the best DCEU so far. Patty Jenkins strikes the perfect balance in so many ways. Empowering I'm sure for girls watching but never alienating the male audience either. The story is certainly dark and the setting...once it moves to Europe but Wonder Woman herself is a beacon of light.

I loved the contrast of her vibrant colours against the desolate battlefield. This is the one thing I wish Snyder had done more with Superman...I still like a lot of what he's done with the character before I get accused of being a hater. Can't wait for Justice League now, a great year for DC fans.

No way I'm cancelling this figure. Love the updated sculpt, really can't wait to see her standing with Batman and Superman. Interested to see how they improve this regular version WW for her solo movie though. Could be a while before we see it.

Is it really that simple though . Had it ever occurred to anyone that WW was more an accomplishment because the theme was based on a female empowered character so naturally is this society we now currently live in it's easier for a director like Jenkins to mesh well with the script because it's so relatable to her directing style.

Maybe the DCEU could still fall with another film based on a non female character like a solo Flash or Aquaman film.

I think the deciding factor will be JL and how it went from Snyder to another direction .

I will say cutting the ties with Snyder was a step in the right direction.

Since everyone is talking about DCEU, I would also loke to chip in my opinion.
I am glad that Zack put soe weight of the currently society into the superhero genre.
I love Marvel movies the same, but somehow I love DCEU better.

Similar to the golden age of comics, they we dealing with current issue, all the comics are more pron to be anti-Nazi, American way, boy-scout superman, CaptainAmerica fighting Nazi etc.
Now we have issues about social media, terrorist, public being vocal of their opinions, public demonstration over dissatisfaction of the government.

Zack is a visual direction, hence very suitable for superhero genre. I watch MOS on 3D on premiere night and the movie blew me away.

Imagining the destruction that 2 super powered being fighting in the middle of the city.. It's like DragonBallZ anime.. Impossible the damage would be just a couple of cars, some smash walls or superman being able to fight the villain while able to get time to do other smaller things as it was a 1 to 1 fight and Zod does not give you time to do it..

As for BvS, I prefered the ultimate cut. The theaterical was chopping I admit, but don't blame the studio. Zack admitted that he decided to make his movie shorter. Maybe being and afterthought, it was not executed too well.

Now to Wonder Woman, Just the sight of Gal being as beautiful as she was already sold 1/2 the movie.. The storyline did the other 1/2... The final fight scene was good, but I did not feel the epicness similar to Zack's movie.

When everyone says that Zack made things dark and gloomy, personally, I think this will work better for the CGI... Too crisp and bright setup will give away the CGI like a game scene..

Did not give much atttention to Suicide squad as I am not a big fan of anti heroes and villains.
But still entertaining film with just a straight story. No deeper dwelling on each individuals. Almost like Avengers. But Avengers you don't need the back story as the characters already had 1-2 solo under their belt, so you already knew them.

Sorry for long post, but these are just my 2 cents..


I am abit disappointed HT release a better face sculpt before we even receive the 1st one...

I'm hoping they are the same face sculpt, just different hair. The Amazon looks exactly like Gal to me, where the BvS version doesn't look as good. I'll reserve final judgment until we see some in hand pics of the BvS figure.

I watch BvS ue for the second time. Ive never seen the theatrical version. I still dont think its great.

The Wonder Woman theme is killer though. I wish there was more music like that. It was mostly so understated.

The reveal scene of Batman was kinda strange to me. I feel like it could have been much better. CGI Batman hanging out in the corner and then scurrying across the ceiling was odd.

Cave troll Doomsday was super forgetable.

Making a big deal about Supermans death is lame. This isnt exclusive to this movie but i hate it when writers try to make you care about a death when you know they are going to be ressurected in the next film or book or comic.

Also I find it hard to believe Jared Leto Joker took out Jason.

BvS version is great. Can always sell it and get the JL regular suit figure later without loosing much money if it does turn out much better.

Worst comes to worst, just buy the best head from either the solo or JL figure and put it on your BvS figure. That's my plan anyway.

Really hope we get to see some of the JL figures at SDCC. Intrigued to see their take on Cyborg, Aquaman and the Flash for the first time.
