Hasbro 6" Black Series Star Wars line

I'm not into the 6 inch scale but I do admit those new 40th anniversary TBS cards look pretty damn slick, especially all together.

I will definitely get the Vader. I love the packaging for the figures but there are two things that bother me:

1. The packaging is not resealable like some other carded collector lines (i.e. The Super 7 MOTU FIGURES)
2. The paint jobs are so basic. I have been spoiled by figuarts and can't go back

Amazing how fast the R2 & Han sold out from everywhere. I'm assuming it's from people who missed out on the original releases. The OT cards are nice, but I prefer the boxed packaging that allow having the ability to open and remove the figure and then be able to later replace it back into the packaging for storage or sale if need be. They should've designed it so instead of the figure in a bubble it was a small box. I'll maybe pick up a 2nd R2 (I have the original) if I see him retail. My only definite buy is the Vader, as always, and 3PO since I was never able to track down the Walgreens Ex.

Prefer they continued the Vintage cards with 3 3/4” line fully articulated line. This would have brought me back to collecting 3 3/4” since the Black Series essentially said **** YOU to collectors releasing rehash after rehash!!
Agree to keep 6” in the box packaging. Still at $30 CAN each its something I am not too excited to touch. My Walmart has been fully stocked to the **** with 6” figures. Nobody buys them at this price point!!

Han and Artoo sold out quickly because for some ASININE reason, Hasbro chose to pack those two figures--the only two figures in the wave that aren't currently available at retail in the Black Series--at one per case and then stick doubles of Luke, Leia and Obi-Wan in the case assortment. Oy.

That was pretty shortsighted, they should have doubled on Han and R2 and included 3-PO in the first wave.

the original Black Series R2 is very expensive now. i sold one last month for $120. ive seen it go for more. so everyone is going to gobble up these R2s since the original is one of the highest priced single figures.

i just got out of the black series and sold them all. SH figuarts are so much nicer. but i love the vintage packaging so im torn if im going to buy these.

Finally got Revan today, he's so striking. Excellent sculpt, paint and articulation; Hasbro have been doing a great job with the last few waves (bar that initial ANH Leia hiccup).

Do some of the early bird vaders have darker eyes? Like, mine is a really brownish red, but I've seen vids where they look more subtle like in the original movie(compared to R1). Wonder if there was a running change or something
