Armchair critics, please allow this info to educate you (from SF):

"Well I've noticed a problem on the past few pieces and I am addressing it before it continues to be a problem. I am flying to LA on Thursday and sitting down with Toynami to resolve these issues and see what we can do to get consistent product.

I feel we've been slipping a bit lately and that's not a slope I want to be on...... period.

Our real problem is Universal Approved Factories. I would assume this is why no one took on this license and now I know why. Everyone thinks it's just send it overseas and you get back what you sent, that's not the case.

Dealing with universal Approved costs more, sometimes the quality can suffer and the audits are ridiculous.

That being said, we are already taking steps to ensure that all JP and regular run products moving forward are looked at many times before the product goes into the box.

Educate me at what? Anyone can say stuff. The proof is in the pudding as they say, and until yesterday CC did more to blame the customers and their photos than to accept the piece had a problem.

Not sure how you could even derive that from their posts.

Just like the Endo.

It was the best Endo yet, better than anything Sideshow & Hot Toys could produce, until it turned out to be pretty rubbish.

Collectorcol, I'm honestly surprised you're still commenting on this thread. Didn't you announce you were giving up statue buying altogether a few pages back?

Yup, this is my only pre-order.

Still have around 50 statue and this has been my main hobby for over ten years.
With nearly £500 tied up in this I think I've got the right to comment all I want...

I understand frustration that overseas folks won't get that second layer of QC. But, I'm not sure how CC could handle that with those already in distribution, and their shipment already in hand. It would put a big delay on things overseas, and many if not most of them are already in route. It sucks that this is the case. But, if it makes any difference, SSC would just be shipping all of them out without any additional QC, and addressing issues on a case by case basis only.

Gotta love that SSC yellow QC seal!

I have lots of SS items, a few had issues or breaks, and only one time were they unable to resolve any issues.

I got a full refund, duty paid refunded and a free HT figure for the inconvenience.

Statue threads are the funniest to read too. The higher prices raise the stakes compared to a standard Hot Toys figure thread that goes into meltdown. :lol

He's still entitled to comment whether he's given up statue collecting or not.

I've messaged my local retailer about their cancellation process and waiting for a response.

Once/if I cancel I will still view and comment on this, and other, threads.
If you have a problem with that may I suggest you putting me on ignore :)

Chronicle has been stinking it up lately, huh? Garbage endo, black Conan, and now this? No deal.

I've already ignored you, and then did it again to be safe . . . . . although that seems to have brought you BACK IN VIEW - blimmin' riff-raff :wink1:
