How did you do the muzzle mod anyway? I mean you took a little too much from it but it could be a fix. Hard to do?

It was intense surgery, and please don't judge that pic of the semi finished version, I will need to spend days finishing him before he looks the way that I hope that he can ( it will probably still look f%#~>^ horrible though):

Wow. This looks like some serious work. For some reason I was thinking you could just peel the fur fabric away from the head and trim the bottom/stache area and glue back down. this really is major surgery.

What is this a pic of?

The eyes look like they have more detail than the ANH ones.

It should again be noted how great TFA Han is, we have all wanted a screen accurate Han -- Harrison figure, and we finally got it

So I guess the collar doesn't want to naturally flare out like it does in the movie? The shirt does look a bit thick and like it might be a bit tough to futz with...

Goes to show you how people tend to focus more on bad things rather than good things. This thread is about both Han and Chewie, yet the focus is on talking about how bad Chewie is rather than how good Han is.

Probably why a lot of TV news stations report a lot of stories that would otherwise be considered bad news. People are enthralled by it. :lol

Chewie is also more available. Only folks ordering Hong Kong are getting Han so far. Where as people are getting Chewie in the states finally after those mysterious early Japan samples. Really can't wait for Han, looks like the best human Star Wars figure yet.

Good point.

Looks loads better!

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Star Wars: Episode VII - Han & Chewbacca Collectible Figure

Aren't Chewbacca's eyes supposed to be obviously blue? They look very dark to me, are they dark brown on TFA version?

It's interesting to see the final figures - thanks for posting all your shots guys.
Han does indeed look great - and Chewbacca proves how difficult it must be to manufacture this fur item, whilst trying to maintain a quality (or at least recognizable) facial sculpt across thousands within the edition size. As already pointed out, some look better than others, but it may be down to luck + camera angles.

These figures are so much money - in all honesty, I'd expect a better Wookiee.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Star Wars: Episode VII - Han & Chewbacca Collectible Figure

This Chewy seems to have come out the way I initially thought a furred Chewbacca would come out after HT first announced they were doing one. The ANH one certainly had issues (black/dark brown fur being the key one, but facial features as well) but it was reasonably successful, and really responded to futzing.

I had high hopes for V2.0, but thus far it just seems to be a step backward. Maybe the articulated jaw was the mistake - trying to go for more when they really should have just tried to fix what they already had. Tweaking the ANH facial features and lighter fur could really have been a winner, even with that more orangish fur tone.

Han is a no-brainer to grab (really not much to say - they nailed him, even if the outfit is a bit off in places,) but I think my TFA set-up will have to be limited to Han and Luke.

Really pretty bummed about this Chewy though - hoping for a futzing or tweaked miracle pic.

Don't ever do that again, QuiGon. Too creepy.
