According to Hot Toys, Yoda was always a Q1 2017 release, so if he doesn't come out by the end of next month in HK then he is actually delayed. Never trust non-official-HT release dates, especially SSC.

Well he's been officially delayed until May... that's what we've been talking about. May delivery here would be April release in HK. So it would seem he's actually delayed, even if not by much.

He hasn't been officially delayed. Still listed as a Q1 release by Hot Toys as it has always been. Let's see if Hot Toys actually delays him to Q2.

Seems HT have no issues releasing figures late. I see Rocket Racoon is released Jan-March 2018 !! Same for many of the Rogue One figures are end of this year. They are clearly out of their depth at the moment, and could be a reason for delay on existing figures !
OK, just going by the fact people claim to have received 'delayed to May' notices from Sideshow (see two pages back). I realize that maybe has nothing to do with HT "official" release, but it qualifies as a delay to me here in the US.

It's really not though. If Sideshow isn't giving proper expectations for when something should arrive compared to the manufacturer's expected release date it's not delayed. We were given inaccurate information.
Sideshow is to blame. They went with early Q1 so they could steal extra flex pay $$ and put it in their savings account for that .06% interest when they knew along along that it would be late Q1 Hong Kong release. Bunch of greedy dicks.

. I'd guess it's because it gets people more excited to pre-order if they see a relatively close date (I think they head it pegged for quarter four of last year and it went up in May) rather than if they say it'll be out a year from now. Those of us who aren't new to this hobby should know how it works by now though. These dates are in no way firm and are almost always somewhat delayed. Personally I'm used to it by now.
