The nose looks to just sit there either glued or plugged, so once I get it, I may just try and move the nose down

I'm considering surgery, seen a lot of figures greatly improved in the customization efforts. The good thing here is that you're dealing with the gap between the nose and the lip, with lots of hair to cover any areas that are customized / reduced. Eh, maybe I'm crazy and it's not possible, but I'll check it out in close detail next week once my set arrives ...

You have got to remember the first pictures of the ANH chewbacca looked shocking.

Well if it's like the nose on ANH Chewie, that may not be possible as the hair above the nose stops right AT the nose and doesn't continue underneath. So you'd then have to deal with the gap created there.

Yeah, but the distance between the nose and the mouth looks to be twice the distance of the first Chewie.

I feel like chewy's nose is also too high, which makes the upper lip even more prominent. If you keep the head looking down it may not be too bad.

I don't see this as an easy fix because:

1) the needed hair may not be under the nose, and
2) the glue residue it leaves may not be easily cleaned, and
3) re-gluing lower may not set as well as one envisions.

Glad I resisted the early temptation to switch from ANH Chewie and wait for TFA. What a dumpster fire.

Agreed. I also think the eyes are too far spaced from the mouth, making the face look elongated and not compact enough. So even if you succeeded in moving the nose closer to the mouth, you'd be left with a huge gap between his eyes and nose.

It's just all kinds of wrong.
