Well considering they are making these in batches one could conclude that cost to manufacture etc has gone up. Oh those greedy businesses at it again.

Wow... where was this ? Asia humid country?

If Polystone statues were affected by humid conditions then ALL his statues would be leaning. IMO this is a case of a bad batch made with sub-par materials. Obviously it's the factories fault but SS should also be held accountable since it is their statue.

It's stuff like this that makes SS look a bit shady....

False, weakening can happen at different times to varying degrees. It may be affecting his other collectibles negatively without a lean. I mean all statues have their weak points. Ankles, wrists, accessories. Anything could go wrong. Jostled around during shipping, miss handling etc. I haven't seen plague like proportions from what I've seen. Maybe a few cases!? Not to discount you entirely though.

My local seller actually allowed all that PO Superman to cancel their order. They acknowledge the lean issue and offer buyers free of charge cancellation.

DC Often dictates the ES not SS. I still love my not highly sought Superman.

I doubt that DC dictates the Edition Size... Otherwise XM would of had to make 10k of it's Batman statue... I get why SS did it, who wants to buy a Lex Luthor statue if you can't get the Superman statue or a Killer Croc statue if you can't buy the Batman statue... it makes sense to take the 3 biggest DC characters and make lots of them to help the sales of other newer characters.

The side effect of that choice to make 10k statues of one character is the market becomes saturated thus the value of the statue goes down. Anyone who buys Batman, Superman or Wonder Woman for $450 will find if they decide to sell it a month later it will probably only go for around $300 or less.. If your a collector who never gets rid of his statues then no biggy... but those who like to change their collection every now and then it kind of stings....

Yeah, lots of new collectors in our locale are having a good time catching up with some great old-ish pieces thanks to below-SRP reselling. I think the only pieces that frustrate some of them are the OG Doom on Throne PF and XM Magneto.

I never buy anything from SSC for investment. But in the old days when they had the Universal Monsters license, people "flipped" these things all the time and made profit. Especially the "exclusives". I see exclusives of all of the 3 big DCs on ebay all the time. The ex of Wonder Woman can actually be had cheaper on ebay than the regular for 449.00 plus shipping expected directly from SSC in July if one looks around enough. Example:

Time will increase the exclusive value. It may not be over night like your used to but the resale will improve in time. It may not be a huge gain but I think they will eventually turn a profit. At least BMan and Sups exclusives.

Someone on a Facebook statue group said they called SS's customer service about the price increase on Supes and this was the response he got,

"it is more now because we have made some minor upgrades and production cost." I asked them to elaborate on the upgrades, to which they replied, a higher quality resin, some better alterations on the fabric and he is situated on the base a little differently."

Could this be true that they actually improved the Statue and fixed the lean issue.
