More "surprises" with MMS351:
If you will decide to switch clothes between your Winter Soldiers or just do a custom suit just be aware that the jacket zipper is sewn together, also the left sleeve is attached to the inner top. The torso is messed up again with black stains from the inner padded body suit. I was wondering if all HT figures have these "bodysuits"? What the function of these? I didn't get again, coz it ruins the figure completely (IMHO), even if I know it suppose to be kept dressed on shelfs till the end of times..... I have two fellow collectors who are currently creating diorama settings from the WS movie where Buck seats in a brainwashing machine chair, so he suppose to be topless. Really disappointed.....

OMG. :clap:lol:clap. Where are the clothes and accessories coming from? That shirt LOL :rotfl and it's perfectly done, yet. OMG. Did you touch up the eyes a bit? I can't tell, but face looks great *smoulder*. And they look great - IMO more Buckys can only be a GOOD thing. Too new at collecting to really know re the suits - the True Type? body looks pretty buff to me, but I guessed it was to provide a bit more "muscle" and to soften the harsh joint lines of the body.

So far I've liked having the under-suits - gives the bodies a nice feel LOL. Would a wiped-on oxy solution or a dye remover (Rit?) solution (lemon juice? vinegar? mineral spirits? color safe bleach?) maybe pull the stains out safely? Thanks for posting the info on the clothes - I wondered about that zipper, and myself and others do want to do a civvie Buck which means undressing the Winter Soldier:cool: May HT doesn't view these figures as customizable but their dyes ought to be more stable *sigh*.:horror

Does anyone know if Bucky had a different costume in the opening of CW with those blue lights or was that just a variation...

Different, he was wearing a suit that were essentially cooling pads to cool his system down before he was put into cryo :)

These are custom made, I love to redress my figures.

I did darker eyebrows, I think his lighter shade original eyebrows give him a "washed face" look that I'm not a fan really.

I don't mind them at all, but there is a lot of scuba or neoprene fabrics in China, and to get two-sided one with black top /white base would be really nice. HT don't produce shiny metal arm figures every month, so if with most regular figures I can find a replacement body, with the WS I can't. Another option will be to take the figure apart and replace the torso, but I never did it before and don't know if this is even possible.

I will do a research but I have a feeling I will end up with an acrylic spray.

Hear yah about the eyebrows/paint and IMO (tho only looking at pictures) IMO you did right - looks great:clap! I'm real curious to see what mine will look like; I swear I'm seeing definite paint differences re the eyes in different pictures (and I know that there will be, just that HT seems to be pretty consistent so I THINK I'm seeing enough to notice).

Excellent custom shirt OMG:clap. The stitching/finishing:clap. Meanwhile, when the time comes to do civvie Buck, wondering if I'll discover markings too:( - guess it won't matter so much, w. all the layers. Yeah, the joint on the arm seems pretty elaborate - I'd be afraid to try to switch out, tho I've seen just the arm for sale on E-bay. So I guess some people go for it.:horror

CW Buck looks better in person I think. If I wouldn't know HT figures I would grab him anyway because I would consider him as cool looking yet handsome/cute. I assure you that every head is different, it maybe not noticeable right away but you got the right feel. I have 6 different WS "greasy" eyes heads and a couple of them looked completely different; I was very curious why and after looking closer I though their eyes were closer together. Only after measuring with a ruler I discovered that 2 out of 6 heads had about slightly over 4mm between their eyes and the rest had close to 5mm. it's maybe a very tiny spot to be worry about but it makes a huge difference the way his face looks.
BTW I think CW Buck has way too high arch eyebrows. I think in real life Stan's eyebrows almost horizontal to his eyelids, at least when he has a calm face, so small things here and there may affect an overall look.

Thank you, this one was a fun piece to make, could't stop laughing myself.....:lol
I never saw a separate arm, but got plenty of an IM parts....lol

Thanks for this! - wondered if I was losing brain cells there re the pics I was seeing. Of course expect some variation, but re various pics thought I was seeing two different paint runs or production sculpt runs - e.g., never noticed that kind of thing w. any HT before. Then again, re my *mania* over the WS prototype:google, don't think I've ever stared at someone's face that much (not like staring at Sebastian Stan is a chore:lol). Agree about the brow shape and imagine at this scale, the very slightest shift in features/paint changes a lot. Or so an art friend tells me when doing portraits even at full size.

LOL I should stay off E-bay, fighting the urge to just say ****** it and order from Hong Kong *must not be compulsive* $$$$$. I'm gonna need some spare heads for CW Bucky anyway. Shame if the hair is attached re trying a rooted hair job - already wondering tho if you sand everything down and fill in w. Sculpy or other (big job) there's possibilities (getting inspired by the custom ASMUS Aragorn https://www.sideshowcollectors.com/forums/lotr-hobbit-1-6-customs/176521-custom-aragorn.html where I'd seen the whole back of the head filled in and then rooted hair added. But I'd only try that on a spare head.:horror From pics it looks like you'd have to deal w. a bit of the sculpted hair that's actually part of the face - or fudge it, sand down, and sort of glue a bit of rooted hair there.

This sentence made my morning....LOL

It's attached to his forehead sides. So it will be complicated to work on a head like that.

That's really cute and very nicely done.
Thank you!!! :)

Just can't live without them.....lol

First, your dioramas are simply *EPIC*. OMG. Thank you for sharing. The accessories, the styling. Second, they just go to show Marvel should be doing video shorts because having to wait YEARS to see more Bucky/Cap & co. is just too painful. (Supposedly the Dr. Strange home release will have another Thor video short, but what about everyone else?) Fourth, HT should pay for said video shorts because they make us wait so long for figs anyway.

Like my Bucky. And Falcon. Meanwhile, your pic reminded me of THIS HT parody - if only....:lol

Edit: and seeing the prices shoot up on Cap today:horror, went back for Bucky #2 after all my fussing re the proto:slap. Figures!:banghead (no pun intended) but seeing the paint tweaks/in hand pics a big help:). I want the HT Bucky as my civvie Bucky (even if he's mostly covered up), and seeing the after-market prices ***** for Cap$$$ - nope. Decided against the KO Bucky for now - that one looks good, but *shrug* for me might as well get the HT - I'm already getting the AC Play fig if I want to mess about a lot with a fig. Cap sold out, Falcon long gone, BW gone, BP gone, all of the CW figs seem to be selling out from SSC anyway.

Thank you, I'm glad you liked it. :) I wish I had more time to set up a real background.

This is the reason I do some thematic and "out of movie storyline" shoots, really keeps me occupied..lol

OMG, thank you for posting, I never saw any of it, this is hilarious !!! Bucky as a barista.....what a hard life it must be.....lmao

I'm still thinking about this one, but I may get it just to finish my current "Bucky collection"....
