Thanks for the pics. The overall aspect still looks great to me. For me the most gigeresque statue of the big chap out there but for sure too expensive.

@DrProXX Have you notice joints problem on the tail or maybe it was a production issue ?

I'm not sure what you mean by poor joints?

The body and tail is one piece.

Oh man, that dome looks absolutely terrible! I haven't trusted Sideshow with Alien products since the Big Chap lsb, and it looks like nothing has changed. I'm sorry to hear you are disappointed with it DP. I'm with Heavy Metal Spike, I'm excited to see what XM have in store for the Alien license. Their products will be more expensive but at least I know I'm going to get what I pay for.

Pretty poor quality with the base label being stuck on crooked and that dome is worth a return. The teeth are also really bad but that goes back to the prototype and it looks like there's seams in the tail. The paints turned out nicely from those pics tho. The choice of size and execution on this piece leaves me cold.

I'm so torn on this piece. There are a lot of things to love about it but...

It certainly isn't worth the price. I'd say $250 is fair. It kinda feels like a non-articulated Hot Toys piece on a resin base.

The head is a second piece. The tail seems to be one with the body.

The base is solid but not that heavy.

The Alien itself is very light and a little smaller than I hoped.

The forward lean isn't the issue I thought it would be. The way it's proportioned makes it look very natural and the lean very slight imo.

The detail is nice and at least on mine, I haven't found any flaws. I still wouldn't put it much beyond the Hot Toys Warrior though.

I bought it because I saw it as a Geiger tribute piece not because it's cannon which is extremely rare for me. I've been staring at it for 24 hours on and off now and I just can't decide if I'm going to keep it or not. So far it doesn't display well anywhere I've put it so there's that. I may just return it and use the cash toward finding a Warrior maquette. I really hope XM takes this license and runs with it.

Here's some crappy cell phone pics 'cause that's all I have and I'm not a photographer. Sorry I can't figure out how to rotate some of the pics, they are correct on my desktop. You get the point though. And I have it next to Vader on purpose currently. That PF is worth every penny of the $500 I paid. $50 less for the Alien? Yeah, probably not so much. Feels like half at best.

So anyone who's familiar with sideshow statues with no reg...do these statues ever drop? It has a huge ES...

I still like the piece. I'm not a huge alien fan (and I feel dumb admitting this but I never noticed you could see the skull through the dome lmao) but I'd like one piece in my collection and I still like this pose best.

This looks like it might be an ok piece for someone who may not be a big fan but wants an alien piece for their collection...............for what should be about $250. Unfortunately, SS is asking more than double that figure and I just don't see the justification:(

Thanks for posting pics, TechLife. I'm starting to warm to this piece. It has its issues, to be sure, but nothing that I can't overlook. But that price! Outrageous! Seeing it beside the Darth Vader PF really drives that point home; that does NOT look like a $50 difference.

My only hope is that this Alien sells poorly, so that Sideshow eventually starts listing it with deep discounts and coupon offers like they usually do when they can't move a piece. I feel like Sideshow is pricing themselves out of the market with pieces like this and the wolf predator LSB.

Thnx for the review n pics buddy. No such thing as fair price in our days. Paint looks alot like the HT version which i think is on the positive side. The small size on the other hand makes it difficult to blend with maquettes or 1/4 franchise products. Only with the 2 1/5 statues they released before.

Can someone who bought it pose it with a horror 1/4 piece (maybe a Freddy or the new Jason?)

So the base is actually woman's lower body parts with the Alien hanging out of her crotch? Wow... that's very Giger-esque. Still won't buy one cuz I already got PF though.

No problem! It really feels like a HT piece on a intricate base and isn't much bigger (see below). Don't get me wrong, I love the HT Warrior and I really do like this piece but I've ultimately decided I'm sending it back. I can't find a good way to display it and just feel ripped off every time I look at it. I'll just put the cash toward the CP Warrior head I have p/o'd that should sit very nicely next to my 1:1 Pred. :)

Given these facts i'd say u've made the best decision. Never understood scaling xenos or preds at 1/6 - 1/5 scale. Again, seeing it next to HT i'd say that the chosen paint coloration is not bad at all. Seems darker and more accurate in ur photo than the maquette.

If this were $250 I would have one, came out better then I thought.

The thoughts and pictures so far in no way make me want to order this, not at he price point set on it. Shame, it has it's pros, but I can't pay this much for a plastic body in a leaning pose I don't really like. I'll echo the $250 calls... Then I'd have bitten, maybe.

Well guess im in minority because I AM LOVING IT. Its not too light either. My Sano is lighter. I am very happy with money I spent.IMG_2962.jpg
