Re: Current discount codes at SSC: List of Spook codes in 1st post

I might have considered the Jawas too if they were like half off. But they only ever got the usual $20-$30 off which is not enough for me to jump on any of them.

:exactly:

They're on my list awaiting some big savings, and I expected to see that this Spook.

Can't forget to thank Sideshow of course. It's a super cool event that they give us

Well, I had a great spook this year. All that RP, I won my first SSC contest (SSC 1/6 Punisher), got some great deals on PO's and these bad boys came in 3 days apart from each other.

Nice score on the Punisher! I wish I'd win a contest!

Thanks to all the freaks who posted codes... threads like this are what make the board great.

You really think he'll sell out? Hmmmm.

Re: Current discount codes at SSC: List of Spook codes in 1st post

I'm waiting for a deal on Obi-Wan. Only OT HT figure I'm missing.

Re: Current discount codes at SSC: List of Spook codes in 1st post

If HT wasn't afraid to do another run of Obi-wan, then I'm sure they won't be afraid to do another run of Yoda.

Re: Current discount codes at SSC: List of Spook codes in 1st post

What's everyone's opinion on Han? I could pull him for $199 shipped. I've never thought the sculpt is as bad as people make it out to be, but it does seem soft. Almost reminiscent of Star Lord.

Re: Current discount codes at SSC: List of Spook codes in 1st post

I think the HT Han is great... the sculpt is a bit off, but overall the figure is incredible and it's easily the best licensed 1/6 Han ever made.

I think it looks as much like David Duchovny as it does Harrison Ford, but if you want it, get it. It's your money. Your opinion is the only one that really matters.

I'm waiting for my TG Endoskeleton to land to combine those reward points with my existing stash bolstered by Spook before I order Yoda. I don't think he'd sell-out before then, but I'd hate to miss out if he does. I'm wondering if I should just order him now with my $135 in RP.

Re: Current discount codes at SSC: List of Spook codes in 1st post

I have a few questions on codes so hopefully I can get some answers because I always feel like I'm leaving money on the table with SS promos.
1. I recently got several packages that had $20 discount codes on the package. Are those good to use on anything or is it another one of those promos where you go in and it's primarily to move peg warmers which I didn't want in the first place (for example, I would like to use it on either Huntress or Blue Steel). Also can I use all three of the offer codes that I received?
2. During these events like Spooktacular and Christmas when you can collect RPs, are those a) temporary just through the event and b) again mostly good for peg warmers? I seem to recall that I tried this a couple of years ago and then stopped participating when someone mentioned that the RPs go away after the event.
3. I don't follow SS contests on Twitter or Facebook because I think most of the main ones are via email anyway, but just curious if there is a value.
4. Any other promo stuff I should know, or is there a good sticky on promos? I didn't read through the tread or do a search, so sorry if this is a basic question but I only have so much bandwidth.

Re: Current discount codes at SSC: List of Spook codes in 1st post

Many folks like me see the figure as overpriced. The reward points was what I needed to justify the purchase. The OT craze is always strong and defiantly this figure is gorgeous! I'm calling waitlist right after thanksgiving. Lots of wives surprising hubby for x-mas also .

Who knows if they'll do another run? Why miss out?

Re: Current discount codes at SSC: List of Spook codes in 1st post

I believe these are correct answers... but sometimes the plans change.

1)The $20 codes that come with a figure (or used to be posted once a month) are good for most in-stock items and a number of pre-order items. However, it usually takes a few months for a new pre-order to be eligible for a $20 code. So something that just when up for PO will not be eligible. The $20 codes do expire though, so keep that in mind and use.

2) RP do not expire and can be used for anything on the site... I have yet to see any restrictions other than you can't combine coupons, or free shipping with RP.

Not sure about 3; it's really a matter of opinion. I don't like Twitter so I don't bother with it. I already use FB, so no biggie to also follow Sideshow... same with IG.

And same with 4, don't know if we have a thread... but Sideshow does have an FAQ that answers questions about contests and RP in greater detail.
