Honestly, I love the design of the Rebel characters so I'll probably get all of them. Deathtrooper is definitely a must though.

Hasbro, Funko, and the Disney store all showed off their product this morning.

It's our turn!!!

Yeah, I was talking to a guy and he said both have rights to Star Wars. So they (HT & Sideshow) tend to work out who's doing what and release accordingly. No doubt Rogue One is also split. I just hope HT get the human face characters as their sculpts are the best at the moment.

The split is possibly just along the 1/6 figures (Hot Toys) vs 1/4 statues (Sideshow) like they seem to have for TFA.

I'm betting a HT Jyn is not far behind. Wonder who else we will get from them though...

Other than Jyn Erso, I'd be surprised if we get any of these other rebels. Especially since they haven't done a Poe Dameron figure yet.

But that's just me. Other than Pilot Poe, I have no interest in any figure not Empire or Jedi related.

I hope Hot Toys does a deep dive on Rogue One, but after the Luke warm sales of the TFA line, they may just make Vader, Jyn and K2-S0. Hope I'm wrong.

Edit: and of course every trooper variant

I haven't heard that anything in the TFA line other than troopers hasn't sold like gangbusters. And the troops likely stagnated because Hot Toys released a metric crapload of them at once. I doubt any of the unique characters have sold less than awesome.

I am confident that at least Donnie Yen and Jiang Wen's characters will be made. They should do well in the Asian market.

I tend to agree with FMH as nothing TFA has sold out yet, even exclusives like the Stormtrooper Squad Leader that came out last Force Friday, but we don't have insight into the production numbers. If we're just judging by these threads Kylo sold well, the Stormtroopers as a whole sold well but like you said, they released so many different ones that it's hard to say how well overall since they're all getting discounted now. The TIE Pilot and Snowtrooper haven't had much activity on the boards.

Finn I saw a lot of people disappointed in the figure's head sculpt change and height issues so I'm not sure how well he'll end up selling, and there might be Stormtrooper Finn around the corner to further eat into his sales.

I think Rey will sell well and Han will sell well. Not sure on Chewy since a lot of people now have the OT one.

The likenesses of the unmasked characters in the TFA line has been really disappointing, so I'm not surprised that most people are only buying troopers.

I wonder why no Poe I would PO day one.

Yep still missing Poe from TFA. I think if sales are slow on TFA it has more to do with increasing prices and market over saturation as opposed to lack or interest or popularity. I don't think they will go too deep into the RO line but hopefully at least five or six figs. I still think HT would be well served to either subcontract to or buy a 1:6 company that could focus on specialty/B-tier characters with smaller runs of maybe 250-500 per figure. I'm sure there are a ton of companies that would gladly jump at the opportunity. Unless they felt it would be cannibalizing their own sales, HT would still make money without having to do the development and collectors would be able to add more favorites to their collections without having to rely on knockoffs, customs or bashing.
