So, I'm a little confused. I read that the wires in Solo's collar are what causes it to look orange... But why isn't the material on the outside of the stitching changing like the flap behind it? I'm thinking it's some kind of glue they used on that one flap. The other flap isn't stiff like the orange one, and even though it has a wire too, it still looks perfect:

Agreed. As nice as Jnix's paintjob was, this one just brings HF's likeness out so much better. And the way the hair is painted and highlighted looks a whole lot better as well.

SS's paint-ups do look a bit more like a very nice oil painting portraits as opposed to a shrunken real person, but that's one of his better ones. Not as bigger fan of the way he does hair though - sometimes looks a bit like carved wood.

Also keep in mind - the sculpt plus SS paint would have been at least $100 more than Jnix's painted heads.

Looks like ShortRound has the same yellowing shirt issue. Hopefully that mystery gets solved before mine arrives.

Thank you for that tip. I was fortunate to get to mine before it turned color.

This is very easy to do. For anyone worried about it, you don't even have to take off the shirt completely. Just take off the vest, untuck the shirt, undo the velcro at the back, lift the shirt up at the front, and you should see the copper wires right away. They slip out with minimal effort.

Thanks to you and GodParticle for the tip - finally got around to taking mine out of the box and removing the wires :duff

I think Mark Simpson did a superb job with my Jnix sculpt. To my eyes, it's spot-on HF. And, it cost me about the same as a painted Jnix one...

Yeah it's really tough to say, I know when I pulled out the wires and compared them to the new ones, the old ones were rusty looking in comparison, but mine was the same (clean right flap despite rusty wire). Top wires are from the old one and have started to turn black. Bottom from the new shirt I removed. I guess I'll find out in 10 months time if it was just the glue:

That's interesting. Mine should be here next week - as soon as it's out of the box, I'm tearing those wires out.

Looks nice. Did you use watered acrylics or pastels for your Chewy fur? Now that I've attacked my HT Vader helmet, I'm feeling I might be able to take on Chewy after all these months.

It was a limited run by Jnix here on the forums. I was damn lucky to get one since I didn't find out about it until after his second and last run and I managed to get the opportunity to buy a left over one that he had. Sprang on it quick. This is the best sculpt I've ever seen of any character.

Oh and where they expensive? I Want a luke one for my hot toys new hope i really dont like the sculpt

Would people please stop posting photos of the Jinx custom of this thread, you're making me extremely jealous! :)

I just wish the people that had the Jnix sculpt could pick one place to talk about it and stick with it. The last few weeks have been the same pictures and conversation in two different threads.
