Re: Quantum Mechanix 1/6 Star Trek The Original Series Kirk and Spock

Come on QMx, get your **** together. I have a seat waiting for the Captain. . .

I asked eyeofuatu on Instagram to go to the booth and take pics. Jesus.

Re: Quantum Mechanix 1/6 Star Trek The Original Series Kirk and Spock

If anyone cares, QMx have confirmed that "modern western" means what it says - takes place in current time. And that it's a show from 2010.

Of all the guesses, only Justified fits the bill I believe. Longmire is from 2012 (and has zero following anyway).

Yeah after prodding that out of them yesterday, the only show that meshes with that is Longmire...not sure if this makes any sense though.

Wow they are committing industry suicide with a toxic license that nobody will buy.

My mistake...I meant to say Justified. I still am surprised to see this as the show they are going with, with only one or two figures of any interest.

I just said the opposite. It's definitely NOT Longmire as they confirmed the license if for a show that premiered in 2010 (and that people care about).

Ah, OK, correction noted.

Very few people compared to bigger licenses out there, that's for sure. But people are buying Sons of Anarchy figures and that show was abysmal. And Firefly - you think more people watched that than Justified? more geek overlap for sure, but I think a pair of Justified figures would do well enough. For a small producer, if they manage costs well, including the up-front costs for securing the license, they can turn a decent profit. Looks like QMx is already sorted for distribution and is picking up a decent little following of its own - I'm down for Justified long before anything from DC or Marvel.

Re: Quantum Mechanix 1/6 Star Trek The Original Series Kirk and Spock

If they looked great and the price was right, I would take pride in having Boyd and Raylan on my shelf.

Re: Quantum Mechanix 1/6 Star Trek The Original Series Kirk and Spock

Yeah I was a huge Justified fan, but there's still no character beyond Raylan and Boyd that I'd really want to own. And I'm already pretty happy with my Raylan custom.

Re: Quantum Mechanix 1/6 Star Trek The Original Series Kirk and Spock

I figured everyone would be looking at that 1:12 Ein on the top shelf there above Kirk and Spock.
